Novotel Surfers Paradise offers an unbeatable combination of comfort, convenience, and top-notch service. From the moment I arrived, the staff made check-in seamless and welcoming. My room was spacious, clean, and modern, with stunning views and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The hotel's location is perfect—right by the beach, near the train station, and surrounded by great shopping and dining options, making it easy to explore the area. Although some areas including pool were under maintenance, this hardly impacted my overall experience. If you're looking for a well-located, comfortable stay in Surfers Paradise, Novotel is a fantastic choice!
I stayed here for 4 nights, and was on floor 18 and found the room modern and very comfortable. Great city and semi sea view on the balcony.nI did think the shower pressure could have been better, but I feel that's standard for most hotels.nnVery comfortable bed and pillows. A GREAT location right next door to the Paradise Centre mall, very close to a Woolworths store that is just downstairs, and other eateries and shops on Cavill Avenue etc.nnBuffet Breakfast was excellent, especially the omelettes. Lots of selection of your standard hot full English/Aussie style breakfast fare, plus cereal, toast, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, coffee, juice, etc.nnMy *one* complaint was when trying to ring for room service /several/ times on Tuesday night; the line was always busy, then kept ringing, and then finally when it got answered I got someone who was having a full on aggressive conversation with someone else in the background and hung up. So I went to the mall for food instead.nnI found the bar staff at BLVD quite prickly at times when I was redeeming my drink vouchers. Like they were constantly on edge and ready for combat, despite me being nothing but friendly = which wasn't a good look or feel. So I feel like the BLVD food and drinks section in particular requires a lot of work in comparison to the rest of the hotel.nnThe elevators could be a little long to come, but again I feel that's standard with most Hotels and you just have to take that into consideration and not expect to get down to say breakfast in an instant with 36 floors and 408 rooms all vying for 4 lifts.nnEven on the 18th floor I could hear the general noise of the city, but again I felt this was standard and expected with the location being right in the heart of Cavill Mall and Surfers, which is kind of the reason you choose this spot, so the rowdiness of the area is to be expected, but wasn't so much so that it stopped me from sleeping or anything.nnAll in all I would recommend the Hotel and would definitely come here again, just be realistic with your own expectations with regards to the location and amenities, and give BLVD a miss.
My stay at Novotel Surfers Paradise was fantastic, thanks to the exceptional staff. Hannah, the night receptionist, promptly resolved a room service menu issue with a friendly, professional attitude. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-located. Highly recommend!nnIn addition, big shout out to Tom at Reception he has made the experience 10/10, much appreciated
We had a fabulous 3 nights at the Novotel Surfers Paradise recently! It was a special family getaway and the staff were amazing. We are Platinum Accor members and arrived to a bottle of bubbles and some beautiful platters! Damian the breakfast chef was so lovely and was so helpful with everything as we have allergies. My eldest in particular has many allergies and Damian made sure she was able to eat well every morning. Tanya in the bar is really lovely and always provides great service. She went above and beyond with our dinner order with making sure everything was gf. All round great stay!
We stayed at Novotel Surfers Paradise the night of Seafire. With the large crowds and high demand, we expected the hotel to be well-prepared. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.nnCheck-in was chaotic, and the staff were clearly overwhelmed. There were a lot of disgruntled guests in the lobby, and during our wait in line, I overheard multiple people asking what their options were after waiting extended periods for their rooms. It became evident that the only options available were to pay for an upgrade, or continue waiting. This was disappointing—at other establishments, I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes for a room without at least being offered a complimentary upgrade or some kind of gesture like a free breakfast voucher.nnWe personally waited roughly an hour and a half past the check-in time before finally getting access to our room. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard. Housekeeping was below average—floors were gritty, and the bathroom had visible watermarks over the counter. I ended up cleaning the room myself on arrival as a precaution. While this is something I like to do even if it seems unnecessary, it was definitely necessary on this occasion.nnWe also tried room service for an early dinner, and again, it was underwhelming. The hamburger that arrived looked nothing like the one pictured on the menu see photos for reference We didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes for replacements with hungry, tried children, so we chose to provide feedback the next morning.nnAt checkout around 8 a.m., the staff seemed disengaged. I wasn’t asked how our stay was, and when I shared feedback about the below-average room condition and food quality, it wasn’t acknowledged. There was no apology, and certainly no offer of a voucher, refund, or any kind of goodwill gesture.nnIt’s also worth noting for light sleepers that while Surfers Paradise is known for its nightlife, the rooms are not soundproof. I could hear every drunken argument, siren, and street noise well into the night.nnOverall, this stay fell short of expectations. We've had many positive experiences with Novotel across Australia, but this visit left a bitter taste. The lack of preparation, poor cleanliness and customer service made this stay a disappointment.
