Bringing backpacking to a whole new level!
Welcome to Surfers Paradise’s newest hostel; BUNK ticks all the boxes and only a heartbeat away from the beach. Your experience is our priority; let us entertain you with daily activities and nightly events while accommodating you in comfort and class at Queensland’s most iconic beach location.
Our funky dorms are equipped with combination safes and USB points in each locker allowing you peace of mind when exploring our beautiful region. You’ll have privacy and a personal reading light while being able to charge your device at your bunk. Air conditioned and ensuite for those days when you want to chill out and a balcony with beach views to soak up some sunshine.
Take a load off and relax on our sundeck, dip in our cute pool and enjoy a chat with your new found friends in the hot tub. Cook up a storm in the state of the art kitchen and watch your favourite movie in our chill out areas. Call the family with free WIFI or just read a book in the garden.

Great location, 2 min walking distance to local supermarket and shops. 5 min from the main beach. The higher room price is worthwhile, it is reflective of the quality of rooms/amenities. Free breakfasts, clean amenities. Great social experiences arranged. Awesome pool area always buzzing. Cooking amenities are spacious.nnEasily one of the nicer backpackers I’ve ever been to, I’ve stayed in a couple other backpackers in surfers, bunk takes the win, hands down.
A good hostel in a great location close to public transit, the beach and the center of surfers paradise. It was clean and the beds were nice but other parts of the hostel were a bit run down. The kitchen closes pretty early in the evening, and there was no free coffee.
Stayed here for 6 nights and had a fantastic first 4 days, clean rooms, friendly staff, and great location just minutes from public transport in the heart of Surfers Paradise.nnUnfortunately, the last two nights were disappointing. A group broke the no smoking/drinking rule and partied loudly all night in the room, which really affected the experience. The hostel should enforce these rules more strictly to protect the vibe for everyone.nnI’d return, but only if there’s a clear policy on maintaining a respectful atmosphere. Otherwise, great value overall.
Absolutely wonderful. I would recommend to any traveler. Rooms and showers where incredibly clean. Lovely spacious shower. The 6 bed room had a TV sofa, food prep area, balcony and really comfy beds. It felt more like a hotel. 100% would stay here again.
Quick and easy check in that we were able to do online. Is it a decent location close to the city center. Biggest downside was our room. We were in a 4 person dorm and the other 2 roommates had been living in it for a while. The room absolutely stunk of BO and they had all there stuff everywhere. I think there should be a system here where long term occupants are moved to another room after a certain period of time just so rooms can be kept fresh and clean.
