This hotel is not worth the price charged per night. The room was extremely small, stained, and had dirty carpets. The bathroom was ridiculously small—if you are around 5’10”, it is very uncomfortable to stand and shower. The only decent part of the stay was the mattress.nnThe room shown on my invoice was not the room we were given. Parking was another major issue, as my ute could not fit in the designated parking and I was told to park outside. Even with a shaded spot provided, this is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.nnThere was no coffee available after 10am, very limited food options, and the room fridge was completely empty—not even a bottle of water. The shower and taps were outdated and poorly maintained.nnAnother biggest safety issue. The wire of one of the night lamp was damaged. I got photo of that.nnFor the amount paid for one night, you could easily stay at a genuine 5-star hotel. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it.
We recently stayed at Vibe Hotel and had a generally pleasant experience, though there were a few disappointments worth mentioning.nnWhile the hotel *technically* offers ocean views, it’s not a full, uninterrupted view. You can see the ocean, but only between buildings across the road, which was a bit underwhelming.nThe room we stayed in didn’t quite match the sleek, modern look shown in the promotional images. While the hotel has clearly undergone some refurbishment, the building itself is older and you can still see signs of wear and tear.nnOn the plus side, the breakfast was a highlight. They offered a good variety, including gluten-free cereals and alternative milk options, which was a thoughtful touch for guests with dietary needs.nnThe staff were mostly friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming vibe throughout the stay. That said, we did have a hiccup with one staff member who promised to bring pool towels and never returned. We ended up walking back to our room soaking wet — not ideal.nnThere’s a nice bar next to the pool area, which was a great spot to relax in the evenings.nnOverall, it’s a decent stay if you manage your expectations — just be aware that the “ocean view” is more partial than panoramic, and the hotel has a bit more character and age than the photos suggest.
I travel often for work and have stayed in many hotels, but my recent three-night stay at the Vibe Hotel Surfers Paradise really stood out. From the moment I arrived, Miranda at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and she made sure my stay was a lovely one.nnI was lucky enough to be upgraded to a beautiful suite with an amazing view. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel well looked after. The share plates were delicious, and I really enjoyed a refreshing Aperol Spritz while relaxing at the bar.nnBreakfast was also great value for money and absolutely worth adding to your stay, fresh, tasty, and plenty of variety. I also loved that the TV had streaming functionality so I could easily watch my favourite shows from my phone.nnOverall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The Vibe will definitely be my go-to hotel!
Vibe wasn't completely vibing for us.nI feel like the pictures online don't show the extent of how worn and outdated the rooms are.nI did read online that they have some newer refurbished rooms, so it must just be luck of the draw when booking.nSo here are the cons of our stay...nOur tv wouldn't turn off via remote, so we had to turn it off at the wall every time we used it.nCleanliness was just okay. There was an old used ear cuticle wedged in our bathroom that no cleaner seemed to see each time they attended our room. The lamps were dusty, curtains dirty and the carpet is also very old, worn and felt dirty.nToilet roll holder would fall off every time I used it.n$30 per day for parking I think is quite steep.nI've never stayed anywhere that has parking available on site, and have charged before, so I thought this is quite unusual. To add to that the number plate of the car we were using wasn't put in correctly so it was clunky for us to work out how to get in and out at the start until it was fixed later.nThe pros...nLobby area is really nice.nStaff were all so friendly and helpful if you ever needed anything.nPool and spa area is also a really nice area to chill and relax on a nice day, especially with a nice view of the river.nTwo free complimentary drinks card.nBreakfast was included for us, and the buffet was great with a variety of foods to choose from, and the food was yum!nBed and pillows were super comfy.nLocation! Location! Location!
Had a great one night stay on arrival to GC. Staff are welcoming, room was spacious and clean, great view and fantastic breakfast. Pool and bar are great too. Rooms are just a little tired, but still clean and very comfortable. A short stroll to beach and restaurants, supermarket etc. A happy stay!
