We only stayed for one night, but the location and views were fantastic. The room and bed were comfortable; however, the property does feel quite outdated and would benefit from a refresh. In particular, the silicone work around the shower screen was poorly done and needs attention.nnIt was a lovely touch to be welcomed with a bottle of wine. Breakfast was good—prepared a little differently from the norm, but still enjoyable.nnParking is undercover, though not the most convenient when travelling alone. You need to drop your belongings at the front entrance, take them to your room, then return to park the car and walk back up via the internal stairs.nnThere is a small kids’ playroom with pay-to-use games. It’s a nice idea, but the cost can add up quickly. I didn’t notice a pool or other facilities, so I’m unsure if there are additional amenities available.nnThe property was quite busy, likely due to holidays and local events. Despite this, the staff were polite and friendly. I did feel for the front desk staff member who was initially on her own—there was about a 30-minute wait before additional staff came out to assist.
I recently stayed at Mantra on View Surfers Paradise and overall had a pleasant experience. The biggest highlight of this hotel is definitely the view. I was lucky enough to have a room with an amazing outlook, and waking up to the beautiful scenery every morning made the stay worthwhile. If you’re booking this hotel, I highly recommend requesting a higher floor to enjoy the stunning views.nnThe location is another major advantage. It’s in the heart of Surfers Paradise, just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, shopping areas, and public transport. Everything you need is within walking distance, making it an excellent base for exploring the Gold Coast without needing a car.nnThe room itself was fairly average. It had the essentials and was comfortable enough for a short stay, but it felt a little dated and could benefit from some refurbishment. The furnishings and décor weren’t anything special, and while the room was clean overall, it didn’t have the modern feel that some newer hotels offer.nnThe staff were friendly and the check-in process was smooth, which made arriving hassle-free. The hotel also has convenient facilities, although the location and incredible views are definitely its strongest selling points.nnOverall, if you’re looking for luxury and modern rooms, this may not be the best choice. However, if your priorities are an unbeatable location, easy access to Surfers Paradise, and spectacular views at a reasonable price, Mantra on View is a great option. I’d happily stay here again for the convenience and the amazing scenery.
After an overnight flight and I was so tired, I really appreciated how kind the Receptionist was. I think her name was Laura. She was really helpful and patient and kind.nnThe room was spotless, awesome views. The balcony was really nice and the bed oh my goodness it was so comfortable. I slept like a log.nnThe location was fantastic and it was close to everything and I had a great time.
This room was a disappointment. Paint peeling, water damage, mould. When I put water in the jug to make a cup of tea, it stank and bits floated around in the bottom of the jug. I recommend this gets removed from the room before it makes someone sick.nI would not recommend this motel to anyone.nPositives: staff are great, very friendly and helpful. I like the toiletries and the fact that they are not disposable bottles.
Stayed here with an elderly family member and a toddler, and we had a great experience overall.nnThe location is excellent — close to the food district with plenty of dining options, and only a 3-minute walk to Surfers Paradise.nnThe staff were wonderful and made our stay very pleasant.nnBuffet breakfast is also available, which was convenient for the family.nnThe building itself feels a little dated and could benefit from some upgrades.nnParking is not free , although discounted rates are available.nnOverall, it was an excellent experience and we enjoyed our stay.
