Rooms : Big room with space and all the required amenitiesnService : Worst. They don't do room cleaning unless you are staying for 8 nights minimumnThe reason we go on holidays is to enjoy the place and live like a king, someone makes our bed, cleans the room daily, changes the towels, clean and dry bathroomsnHowever, once you stay in Wyndham for holidays, you have to do all by yourself and no feel like enjoying the holidaysnI do all that at my home as well, why would I go on holiday and stay at WyndhamnBreakfast : Horrible, Terrible, UnthinkablenNo buffet, a 4 start hotel, I expect at least buffet spread Breakfast. They have limited options in breakfast and definitely not at all vegetarian friendly. A BIG NO. Secondly, I somehow managed to find a veg sandwich, the restaurant attender did not give me Coke, also on the last day, I requested for take away, she changed the sandwich bread from a multigrain to simple, and made sure that she completes the order at the very last minute so that you don't have a chance to complain.nnThey will take you for a Wyndham club membership seminarnBut my point is Wyndham Gold Coast services are below par of 4 star hotel, I don't even recommend this to anyone so no reason to become a membernUnless they stop cost cutting and give proper room service by cleaning daily and at least a decent Breakfast matching the lines of a 4 star hotel and not like a local 1 or 2 star hotel
AVOID AT ALL COSTnnCheck in was suppised to be 2pm, we were checked in 1.5hrs late. Worse, no one was even following up, had to chase reception myself multiple times after being told they will inform me once room is ready.nnThere was a lady who's been very nice and looked genuinely ashamed of everything that happened but rest of the staff in this horrible place had absolutely disgusting customer service.nnGuy receptionist arrogantly told me they can only do a 30 min late check out because of the incident. Nice lady asked him to give our room a voucher for the incident and he had the guts to ask her why. Then again arrogantly said ok he'll give me $50. Wow.nnCone morning, 10:25am went to the cafe to get coffee and I asked to charge the room as it has a voucher. I was told reception already checked me out and can't do it. So they were absolutely fine with checking me in unashamedly late but couldn't wait to check me out when it wasn't even time to. Most disgusting thing however was even though lady at the till was apologetic, when I commented I'm not coming back again, other lady making the coffee actually smirked then laughed! Disgusting staff with zero customer service. Unapologetically shameless because after all this, they were more interested in selling membership than actually making any effort.nnLifts are extremely slow, keys refuse to work most of the time, dated facilities. Take your money elsewhere, absolutely disgusting place not worth your money.
We booked a room for three guests, but it was only prepared for two. There were only two sets of towels and amenities, and the sofa bed had not been made up. We had to return to reception to get an extra towel and arrange for the sofa bed to be prepared.nnThe most concerning issue was finding a toothpick left on the sofa. When we reported it, the receptionist explained that it had been used by housekeeping during cleaning and that the room had in fact been cleaned.nnTo be honest, that explanation made the situation even more concerning. If the toothpick had been used during cleaning, it was clearly not something that should have been left behind on the furniture. What disappointed us most was that there was little acknowledgment or apology for the oversight.nnOverall, the experience left us questioning the attention to detail and housekeeping standards at the hotel.
In my opinion they are Crooks, don't stay here they try sell you on their club Wyndham package which is just time share and breeze over the over 3600 dollar a year fee that comes along with your points purchase and if you ask them about it they tell you don't worry.nBy the way the fee can and according to others that have gone through with the package it does go upnit takes about 5 minutes to find out that this annual fee increases too so your looking at up to a good 5k annually maybe more, plenty of people online complaining about not being able to get accommodation when needed and forget about flights, they tell you its 60 minutes try closer to 2 and a half hours. They are pushy and blatantly lie to your face.nnThey tell you its all in a trust fund but lets face it you have no access to the trust. Nor does the person that holds the trust have to give you your money back in 2083, which is there main sales pitch.nApperantly they are going to sell everything off and you'll just have money apear in your account.... Its a trust fund thats not how they work there is no obligation by those that set it up to do so or even hold it as long as they say they will or at least that's my opinion and understanding of it all.nThere is a reason when you put money into a trust fund that the bank asks if you know the person and that you know its not a scam, its because once those funds are in there they are theres and are not coming back out unless the other party agrees.nnThey tell you your name is on the trust, if thats the case can you access thise funds whenever you like?nnAs for the hotel its self they hold your deposit for the longest possible time I called 3 times to ask what the hold up was and they said it was the bank or visa, so I called the bank and they spoke with Visa and confirmed it was the hotel just holding onto our momey, so when I called back and confronted them with this information and told them that the bank was emailing me out a whole heap of information they magically were able to refund me the money while I was on the phone to them.nnLast thing ING told me this happens a lot with Wyndham and they always blame the bank but the bank has no interest in holding up its own customers funds.
Really enjoyed our stay. Exactly what we wanted - location was excellent. Close to the beach, just out of central Surfers but walking distance.nRoom could do with a bit of an upgrade - carpets were tired and beds were okay but could be better.nPool was great - they provided towels for pool and beach so no need to bring your own beach towels.nDidn’t realise it was a timeshare hotel so salesman was a bit pushy at first.
