We recently had to undertake insurance repairs at our home, which required us to temporarily relocate for nine days. With Christmas just around the corner and a young family of five to consider, we felt incredibly stressed as we tried to find suitable accommodation that could comfortably meet our needs.nnA friend recommended Hotel Elms, and from the moment we arrived, any worries we had simply melted away. Anthony and his incredible team turned what could have been a challenging time into what felt like a peaceful and luxurious retreat.nnThe service was exceptional—nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully appointed, with large comfortable beds that made our stay all the more restful. Every member of staff that we met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help in any way they could.nnGiven the length of our stay, we made full use of the hotel’s restaurant and room services. Our school-aged children were absolutely delighted by the buffet breakfast each morning, and the food was just as delicious as it looked. A particularly memorable moment was our toddler’s birthday during our stay—the chef went above and beyond making a delicious banana cake that was delivered to our room and the look on our 4 year olds face will stay with me forever. We also had our 3 “Elf on the Shelf” join us in the lead up to Christmas and it was extra special when the room service staff helped create magic and memories for our children!nnWe’re immensely grateful to Anthony and his team for their outstanding hospitality and care. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Elms to anyone looking for a hidden gem in the heart of the city. It’s a beautiful place to stay, that’s also affordable and I have no doubt you’ll be just as impressed as we were.

We stayed at Hotel Elms for one night over New Year’s, and overall it was an amazing experience. We stayed in an apartment with a terrace, which was very spacious and beautifully set up. The spa bath was fantastic, the bed was incredibly comfortable and cosy, and the room itself felt luxurious and relaxing.nnWhat stood out the most was the service. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were welcoming, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile, which really made our stay feel special.nnWe ordered room service during our stay, and the food was excellent. Everything arrived well presented and tasted amazing — we would definitely recommend trying the crème brûlée.nnJust a small piece of feedback: the menu shown on the TV didn’t appear to be updated, so it would be great if that could be refreshed .The terrace area had a couple of old takeaway coffee cups left in a small empty pot, along with a line of ants, and there were quite a few spider webs on the doors. We completely understand that outdoor areas can be harder to maintain, but it did feel like it hadn’t been cleaned in a little while.nnThat said, everything else about our stay was perfect. We truly felt like we got more than what we paid for in terms of value. We would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend Hotel Elms to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Christchurch.

An exhilarating experience in short..nI have stayed with a big group of people in this hotel few times and the service has been par excellence. The rooms were clean, huge and well maintained.nnThey believe good service is non- negotiable and Mr.Simon, the operation manager and his team takes special interest in ensuring that everything is well taken care during our stay in the hotel.. My group was well taken care and I have noticed that they even keep good selection of tea / coffee and hot chocolate sachets which are of premium quality and even provide water bottles and milk cartons free of charge in the rooms which is not common in all the hotels in new zealand where it's mostly tap water to be filled up as water is portable in new zealand.nnThey have a decent breakfast buffet too.nnLooking forward to stay again and enjoy their services again .. Kudos Elms !!!

Cannot recommend The Elms Hotel highly enough.nnThe room was amazing — immaculately clean, beautifully presented, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable.nnThe staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which made the stay even better.nnThe food was absolutely incredible.nnA perfect experience from start to finish — I will definitely be back!

We stayed at Hotel Elms Christchurch last December and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we felt this was one of the best places to stay in Christchurch at an affordable rate.nnThere was an issue with my reservation, but the house manager was extremely helpful and handled it professionally. They kindly arranged an early check-in for us with a small additional charge, which we really appreciated after our journey.nnAlthough we didn’t use the hotel restaurant, it looked quite good from what we saw. One thing to note is that there is no bellboy service, so it’s best to carry your own luggage.nnOverall, a great value-for-money stay with excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend Hotel Elms to anyone visiting Christchurch.
