Fable Christchurch

Fantastic!! We loved our stay here and will definitely come back again. The rooms were very modern and clean. Air-conditioning worked well. The bed and bedding was very comfortable and we had great sleeps here. Very quiet room, and we had a great view from our room as well. The Staff were all helpful and friendly too.

Perfect location in the city centre. The staff were so polite and accommodating. The room was so nice, lovely hair and body products in the bathroom. Nice and quiet. The bed is super comfy! I highly recommend. The only thing I would suggest to improve is to have hot chocolate available I rooms as well as tea and coffee.

Probably a 4-4.5 star hotel by international standards. Clean and comfortable rooms. Lifts are small and shared between service apartment and hotel in the same tower. Small gym room and sauna available. Given the reasonable pricing and centrally located in CBD right next to New Regent St and Cathedral Square, I would recommend this hotel for a city stay in Christchurch.

There’s nothing 5-stars about this place, so I’m giving it the 3 it deserves. Besides the location, which is ideal, the rooms and service reflect utter mediocrity at best. My room had scuffed walls, dirty mirrors, peeling paint. And service was cordial but was certainly not 5-star accommodating or friendly. I couldn’t get a check in until well after 2 pm, no one wished me a pleasant stay or asked about my stay when I checked out. I expect above and beyond hospitality for a 5 star hotel. Go in expecting a 3 star experience, and you won’t be disappointed.

The room is smaller than expected and feels dated. There are holes in the carpet and marks on the walls—both easy to fix, yet clearly overlooked. Overall, it lacks attention to detail. It attempts to present a facade of luxury but falls short, feeling more like a 3-star accommodation by European standards.nAlso, parking is a joke. The hotel’s lot was full, so we were directed to public parking next door—at a higher rate than if we had just paid at the machine. Felt a bit ripped off by the whole experience. Should have booked something on Airbnb instead
