ibis Christchurch

Great central city location and reasonably priced. Rooms are on the small side, which is expected for the Ibis chain of hotels. Booked based on three guests, but had to keep asking for an additional towel, as kept only getting provided with two which was a bit frustrating.nOtherwise service was pretty good and rooms were clean and well maintained.

Fantastic reception staff and friendly housekeepers who clean the room to a high standard.nThe hotel is walking distance to many main attractions in Christchurch.nWe would definitely stay here again - good value for money.nThere is a little bit of maintenance that needs doing i.e. paint peeling off the doors but they have made an effort to make the hotel interesting I.e murals of birds in the elevator.nThe lobby area is spacious and a great place to hang out.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the experience was great. The location was perfect for exploring the city and made getting around very convenient. The staff were all warm and welcoming. We were even surprise to discover that the receptionist assisting us was a kababayan. She was increadibly helpful, although I unfortunately forgot her name.nnThe room was clean, well-maintained, and the beds were comfortable.nnWe also had the chance to dine at their restaurant, and the food was great. I found the hotel to be convenient for a two-night stay. I enjoyed being able to just walk in the city and see the sights - I didn't want to drive anywhere. Easy to access from the airport. Clean and comfortable room - and it suited me to have breakfast available as part of the package. I would stay in the hotel again.

We love staying at the Ibis when in Christchurch due to the very convenient location and comfortable accommodation… it would be great however if they could introduce a room style that has a king bed for the parents and a king single bed for the other guest child as we find a double bed just a bit small for 2 adults especially when you’re used to a larger bed at home… that is my only complaint though… we love the value for money!
