I haven't checked out other properties in Christchurch, but I felt the room rate was overpriced.nOther than that, thanks ALL the staff at IBIS they were all so friendly

I was booked into this room, so I wouldn’t have chosen a double bed room. However, it was cramped for even one person. I had a small space for my suitcase that I had to shimmy around when laying flat to get into the other side. Not sure where another person would have put theirs. There weren’t any drawers to unpack into, otherwise I would have done that. If there were more than one person, you would literally have to take turns to move around the room. The air conditioning did not get any colder even when putting the temp down. It was too hot at night. My colleague staying in a different room also said the same, so it wasn’t just my room. Super convenient if you have business, however it’s a lovely city to walk around so it would be worth the short walk. A number of homeless just downstairs as you walked in and out of the hotel.

Easy trip to hotel in Line 8 bus from airport. Stops on Hereford Street, about 50m down the road. Need cash for bus! Hotel is perfectly good - standard Ibis but provides good quality and clean rooms. Hotel was very quiet. We didn’t use but there was a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. Staff were lovely. Rooms prepared and serviced to a high standard. We would happily stay here again. Well located for accessing all of the city centre.

Great location, very central and walking distance to local eateries and shops. We were given wrong information at the check-in that breakfast was included. After checking-out, we get a charge on our credit cards. Issue has been rectified but beware.

I did not have high expectations staying at a 3 star hotel but I couldn't have been more wrong. Yes the room was small and the bathroom more so ! but the lovely welcome, recognition of my Accor status and the food rivalled what I've received at higher star hotels.
