Great location—just a short walk from Christchurch’s business district and vibrant shopping areas, which made it really convenient for both work and leisure. The hotel is part of the Accor chain, so it carries that familiar standard of quality and comfort. Service was pleasant throughout my stay; the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The room itself was clean, tidy, and well-maintained—exactly what you’d hope for after a long day. I stayed for two nights and felt that it offered great value for the price. A solid choice if you’re looking for comfort and convenience in the heart of the city.

When we booked because we wanted parking, but when it was close to the day we were going, we received an email telling us that there was not enough parking, we had to book a parking space for $30, which means if we paid more, we would get a parking space, which we did not like at all, but we could not do anything about it. So we parked at a place that was close to $12 for the night until 8 am, which was cheaper than parking at the hotel. The next day, we parked our car in the hotel parking lot, the male staff who took the car reservation told us that the parking lot was full. We were very angry, even though that staff was the one who took the parking reservation for us. We asked and confirmed with the receptionist who worked in the morning before leaving, but when we were going to park our car, the parking lot was full. The service was very bad. The staff was not smart, did not care about customers, very bad. We were not impressed with this hotel. We will not go again. We did not care about paying $30, but we were not happy with that male receptionist at all. We were very disappointed and angry.

This hotel is situated within walking distance to Te Pae and the shopping district and attractions. The room was perfect for what I wanted and my request was easily satisfied. The room was perfect for one person but it would need to be bigger for two.

Had 1 night here in Christchurch at Ibis hotel and worth the stay. Close to many locations and the room was spacious. Like the bathroom was amazing and huge. The staff was so friendly and helpful when we requested for extra pillow and towels they helped and was delivered all within 20 minutes. They also helped to advice on parking locations which was grateful.nnHighly recommended to stay here when your in Christchurch.

Terrific location ! Extremely close to the shopping district, riverside market yet quiet enough for a great nice sleep after a wonderful shower and soft comfortable clean cotton sheets ! Perfect. The coffee and Dilmah tea were greatly appreciated !nSmall bar fridge with milk portions thank you ironing board and extra blankets if needed were there, but the heating cooling system perfect !
