Econo Lodge Canterbury Court

This is by far the worst accommodation I have ever stayed at, the smell of the rooms is disgusting, the walls have mold and are very dirty. This is a social housing motel so had the pleasure of being woken up by residents arguing in the middle of the night. The room had no curtains and was missing cutlery. I would not recommend to anyone to stay here, I will be contacting Hospitality NZ as they should not be able to charge to stay here. I would have rather slept in the park, it would have been a better experience. I will not be back.

Carpet stuffed, couch broken so tuff on your bum you cant sit on it, window latches broken, Sky advertised but not available, they havent got time to weed the gardens, this place is the worst I have ever stayed anywhere in the world. Stains on the floor looked like somone had been stabbed, powerpoints not working on stove, shower walls disintegrating, its so sad, its not even funny. Really bad experience.

Canterbury court motel I had the misfortune of staying 2 nights in this motel It is the worse motel I have ever stayed in on arrival after a rude phone call telling me room number I arrival at site that looks like a abandon property grass up to knees weeds peeling paint.nI open room door to be greated by the stench of dry rot and old cigarette smoke.i go to the kitchen, there is hole in wall jug cord is taped together. The window frame is rotten the bathroom shower is dirty grimy the vanity is falling apart, widow frame is rotten toilet wall is rotten only towel rail is in bedroom not bathroomnI sit on bed pillow falls down behind bed I almost touch live electrical wires as plug is not attached to wall, in kitchen Wi-Fi band extender cord runs across stove top would melt if i used cook top.I walk around outside puddle on concrete with strong stench human urinenThe property felt dirty dodgy and not safe or clean. I have made a complaint to choice hotels who are the owners but they have not even bothered to reply DON'T STAY IN THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!! this property has serious health safety concerns i have contacted worksafe regarding safety issues.

Would not recommend staying here!nRoom was grubby, carpet very stained, dish brush in kitchen filthy,nBathroom had not been cleaned well and was clear it hadn't been for a while, bedroom door has punch breaks in it, whole premises smelt musty, only some lights had bulbs, tv did not work.nThe outside was no better with piles of rubbish out front.nOnly good thing was location to our event but I would of walked a extra 30 mins easy to stay somewhere clean.nnOverall very disappointing and rather disgusting.

Place looked nice at the start went in to the room and got blown away with the horrific smell, the walls and carpets were stained, there was visible mould growing. This place is not worth the price and is a complete dump and will not stay here again
