I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza Christchurch and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality.nnThe hotel itself is one of the nicest I have come across in the South Island. Its central location makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the city, and the modern and sophisticated design adds a touch of elegance to the overall ambiance.nnThe room I stayed in was exceptional. Not only was it impeccably clean, but the attention to detail in the decor and furnishings created a truly inviting and comfortable space. I found myself instantly at ease, able to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring.nnHowever, what truly sets the Crowne Plaza Christchurch apart is its staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request or inquiry.nnOverall, I cannot recommend the Crowne Plaza Christchurch enough. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this hotel offers a level of service and comfort that is truly exceptional. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Christchurch.
One of the best experiences we've had at a hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable and the service was outstanding. Every single staff member we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The continental breakfast was great, and having the option to Chromecast your own media to your TV was also a huge bonus. We'll definitely be staying with Crowne Plaza again in the future!
Room was clean and relatively quiet but that's where the positive praise ends.nnThe kettle had mold on the inside, the room temp fluctuated significantly despite my setting it at a certain temp, pillows felt uncomfortable and hard, the clock time was wrong and couldn't update it either. Towels seemed old and rough. The complimentary slippers looked used and worn.nnThe breakfast was abysmal! Asked for a poached egg, which was overcooked. The free coffee tasted rather revolting - as if the jug hadn't been cleaned.nnI had to cut my stay down to 2 nights from 4 nights due to my young child's nanny having an emergency, and despite giving the hotel over 24hrs notice, the reservations team refused to refund the additional nights that I was not there.nnAll in all, if you have the option to stay elsewhere, I'd highly recommend NOT staying at Crowne Plaza Christchurch.
STAY SOMEWHERE ELSEnnBreakfast was included but it was absolutely sloppy, cold and nasty. Plus they make you pay for a decent coffee unless you want to drink watery coffee in a vat that tastes like dirty pond water. I have never stayed in a hotel that makes you pay for a decent coffee as part of breakfast and I travel regularly.
Located in a very central part of Christchurch in easy walking distance of many attractions we love New Regent Street. Very nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Will stay there again.
