Crowne Plaza Christchurch, an IHG Hotel

Check in process was smooth and Ashika who helped us with it was understanding and helpful. The bed and pillows were comfortable.nnHowever we couldn’t really understand how the aircon worked as it switched off on its own in the middle of the night. The change in temp made us woke up at least twice.nnWater pressure was not as high as we would like it to be but it was sufficient to give a decent rinse. The hot water was great though, no wait time required.

I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Christchurch for a work trip and I could not have been more impressed! From the moment I arrived, the experience was absolutely wonderful.nnThe location was perfect, making it super convenient for everything I needed during my work trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. A special shoutout to Manea at the front reception, who was absolutely fantastic and made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked through the doors!nnI would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Christchurch to anyone visiting the area, whether for business or leisure. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Christchurch!

We had an excellent stay. We were impressed by the modern rooms. Very quiet, clean and comfortable beds. Great shower. Nice view too. The staff were super friendly as well.nnMy only suggestion would be to add a airport shuttle, but that's me being picky.

Great location. Room is a bit dark for our taste. Bed and pillows were ok regarding comfort. Providing real coffee rather than instant would be more enjoyable.

Check in was a problem. 30hrs travel to NZ, booked RM & paid a month in advance. With a note on booking would arrive around 11:30 AM. Check in person said we can not have a room till 5PM, He said he could down grade out room, in discussion with me he said he would expedite a room & notify me by text. That did not happen. When back to him to ask about our room & he said he would expedite a room. Some time later I talked to a lady she said a room 1104 was available. The safe did not work. Reported the problem and someone would be up to fix it. Over two day with it not being fixable they moved use to room 1505. That room everything worked fine. The stay improved form this point on.
