Crowne Plaza Christchurch, an IHG Hotel

The shower cubicle is too small although the size of the toilet and room itself was comfortable! Water heater did not work during 1 of the night and the next morning, we were told to wait 30 minutes which is very long for a guest in need of rest! i expected better for what I paid for this hotel

Very clean modern hotel with welcoming lobby and key card security to get onto the floors. Rooms were a good sized in the bathrooms had wonderful tile work and a rainfall showerhead. This is the nicest crown Plaza I have ever stayed at. The location was fantastic

This is a decent hotel. Rooms were quite spacious and there were plenty of drawer and closet space for your things. I was quite happy with the shelves to store your mid size luggage, you can actually open the bag and lay it flat without it flopping over. It was very handy to get things in and out without having to constantly open and close the luggage. I wish more hotels had this.nnThere were a few problems unfortunately. One the WiFi was bad in the room. There were a few bugs flying around and it is quite noisy. The windows were not noise proof. I was staying on an upper floor and I could actually hear someone sneezing from the street 14 floors below. To make matters worse there was a concert in the square down the road and the noise was so loud the windows were shaking and I thought it was an earthquake. Debating on 3 or 4 stars. Gave a 4 since the rooms were nice and the hotel is centrally located.

Stayed 4 nights on business - perfect location, in the heart of the city, walkable to surrounding restaurants and bars! Got upgraded to the top floor. Definitely a nice room with comfy bed and peaceful view! They don’t have the best gym in town but still at least they got benches and dumbbells!

We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel! We are IHG members and received an upgrade upon check-in, and had a great view of the city. The rooms are updated, clean and spacious.nnWe had a drink in the lobby lounge and was very relaxing environment!nnWe will definitely come back when we visit Christchurch again.
