Lovely Hotel, staff were fantastic and so friendly!nnThe room was super clean and tidy, beds comfortable and the room had its own heat pump which kept the place super toasty.nnWe had the breakfast both days and it was packaged and very healthy and delicious.nnGreat location handy to the CBD and just down the road from the Mall.nnThanks again team!
Everything was excellent. A very large group of us met for breakfast/lunch at the café / restaurant. They'd kindly moved things around a little to accommodate us. Such friendly, helpful staff and great service. Good food and a nice choice of cakes. I was really impressed with everything.
Stay and eat with caution… I was so fed up I ended up leaving…nnWhen I first walked in I thought it may not be too bad… My room was kind of clean bathroom kind of clean / the shower glass was icky and previous customers airline luggage tags stuck to the door frames, but the maintenance was very poor. A fridge that won’t shut I suspected the ice box was so laden with frosted over ice that it was blocking the door - house keeping must have noticed this as it literally wouldn’t shut and a toilet that ran THE WHOLE TIME, which made any sleep impossible as it was so loud even with a door shut.nEntrance lock door handle is also loose, so although it looked fine, it was definitely uneasy after walking the dimly lit car park to the far building where my room was. My room was hard to find, as the person as the service desk only said “blue building to the right”… no effort to show me where this is as it’s not exactly that easy to find once you leave the office and the carpark is so poorly lit. With the hotel so empty, it was so uneasy walking to find this alone and with stairwell lobby’s that came straight out of a dodgy movie.nThe buffet was VERY average… old outdated restaurant that doesn’t feel clean, food only just warm, not hot and some dishes were so chewy and had obviously been sitting a while. Average selection, luke warm and the leathery sea food mussels were obviously old I avoided as food poisoning wasn’t my idea of a good time. Seriously, I am not fussy and I love a good buffet but this was bad. Other guests were loud and yelling at their kids and it was quite awkward.nThere was also confusion over my package that I booked as it stated “extras buffet $0”, so at the time of booking it makes it seem like it’s an extra. So that’s fine, I was willing to pay, but when I questioned this, the communication from the hotel desk and the buffet desk was so average as they both just obviously avoided answering whether it was free or not and then the next words are asking for payment.nAt $46 for a buffet meal, I expected SO much more… it’s really expensive considering a meal at another nice restaurant would have been a lot less and the food would have been cooked fresh for me. I would NEVER eat here again. Glasses and cutlery weren’t particularly clean with smudges and build up on them also.nAll around, the stay, food and service was unmaintained, clunky and just a bed to sleep for a few hours after a big day. The toilet running annoyed me so much that I actually decided to leave and go and get more sleep in the family room at the hospital where I was staying to see my father. The hospital was quieter! So think about that… I chose the hospital over this place…nI can see how it’s maybe good for big sports groups or a place to just rest your head while busy, but I would never come back for holiday purposes. There are many other places for a similar price that would be better.
This is one of the places we have been to special occasions. We have been a number of times over the years. It's a great family smorgasbord style restaurant, ideal for large gatherings like reunions, birthdays etc.
It was ok, 2 bdrm unit a bit dated, could be alot nicer, but was warm n cleanishnNice greeting etc. Gave us a late check out of 11am. Went to have breakfast..service was sooooo slow, took ages for our meals, but tasty once received. Didn't know about the buffet that starts from 11.30am, was only $4 more than my Big Breki! Buffet would have been quicker.
