I booked and paid for 3 nightsnaccommodation from Monday 29th. When we arrived to your motel we found it has a long steep stair case which we were not aware of at time of booking This made it unsuitable for my partner and his spinal injury. We decided to find somewhere else for our 3 nights and you told us you were happy to refund and would contact me. 1 week later and I have not heard from you or received a refund.nAccording to the CGA I have a right to anrefund as room was not as advertised
This place has a very confident hotel and the room number was four. There were three beds and the shower was comfortable and hot shower was hot and comfy. I know the owner is a little bit strict about the hotel rules, but if you use it nicely he will say nothing so I love this hotel. There is a free wifi there too! I recommend this hotel to everyone!
I love this clean room! My bed is like a cloud! I've only booked for a night so can't comment on service, tho check in was hassle free cheers! I've decided to stay another night if my bed is available when I wake in my comfortable warm!
I’ve just spent a good 15mins reading reviews. I can’t fathom the lives some must lead as me and my daughter have stayed MANY timesnDue to hospital appointments and never heard the owner be rude Infact only helpful and straight forward, clear and to the point with respect for ALL. I feel some comments are from people from different accounts and accomodation trying to get business. I feel it’s completely nonsense and as for racist I couldn’t laugh harder as I have full mataora face tattoo and Seen him treat me and mine with full respect and all persons I’ve seen him with and explaining things to from Asia is no different and think it it’s malicious remarks to damage his business from others with fake accounts. It’s affordable for most people, homely with creature comforts and the dog will melt your heart and loves pats and snuggles. We choose this place becouse it is welcoming and always has been. I give it 100% backing and support as a great place to rest your head when visiting, passing through or like me have hospital appointments. 2 big thumbs up!!
We arrived at Sandy Feet Hotel at 6pm — parked the car, grabbed our bags, and made our way to the front gate... only to find it shut. The exterior was fairly unassuming, and there were no clear instructions on what to do next, except a vague note telling guests to park on the road.nnSo, in the rain and freezing winter cold, with our luggage in tow, I gave the owner a call and politely let him know we had a booking and were waiting outside his driveway. His response? “And? What would you like me to do about it?”nnI was honestly flabbergasted. Still, I held my composure and asked, “Could you please let us in?”nnHis reply: “Just lift the latch and let yourself in.”nnRight. That wasn’t hard — but the snarkiness really wasn’t necessary. Still, I let it slide... mainly because he had a cute dog.nnNow for the stay itself:nnWe only booked a night and were in the room for about seven hours total, so expectations were minimal. We had the Studio with Garden View, which is a cosy, private room detached from the main house with its own terrace. That part was lovely — peaceful and secluded.nnThere was a heater, though it didn’t do much; my friend and I kept waking up cold throughout the night. The biggest thing to note: the toilet and shower for this room are in the main house. So yes, if nature calls, you’ll have to walk through the cold and potentially the rain just to do your business.nnAdmittedly, I didn’t mind too much — it’s all part of the charm, maybe? But it’s definitely something to be aware of if comfort and convenience are a priority for you.nnLocation-wise, it wasn’t too much of a hassle for us since we had a car. But it may not be the most accessible if you're relying on public transport.
