My stay at the Pavilion was just fabulous, from the phone call to confirm the day before to the final check out. Excellent service at the office, bar, restaurant, breakfast and cleaning was exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Fabulous pool and spa. Lovely room, beautifully set up and serviced. Definitely recommend the buffet breakfast. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Pavilion - wouldn’t stay anywhere else now.
My partner and I have been coming here for many many years first time we have not enjoyed our stay . Massive gap under the door like they cut it too short , when going to the front desk to ether get a new room or a door cover Matt thing got offed a towel , when asking did someone cut it too short they said it’s from the earthquakesnThat’s a good 14years ago shouldn’t take 14 years to replace a door , I did look at all the ground level floors and there is a big gap ours has to be the biggest gap your see in the photos .nNot happy with this stay and that in mind think this is our last time staying here . Other than this issue and tight parking it’s been a great place to stay.
We have been staying a pavilions for years now. The facilities are great. The breakfast in the morning is lovely. Well set out, clean, good range of breakfast options overlooking papanui road. Location is really great, just a couple of minutes from the cbd and a few more minutes to northland's mall and airport.nThe staff are really lovely and accommodating, we recently arrived stupidly early and request a check in because we had an afternoon wedding in Darfield and they were really helpful. I've only used the spa and suana a couple of times and not the gym because I'm on holiday but they have everything you need for health and relaxation.nWalking into the main foyer you can tell that presentation is important, all the staff are well presented, tidy and friendly.nAll around , just a really great place to stay.nRooms are large and comfortable with everything you need, an iron, hairdryer , tea and coffee, even a couple of books on the history of the locals. Shower could use more pressure but that is really the only minor issue I have, but the bath filled fast so crisis averted. Even the cleaners are friendly and do a fantastic job. We stay in Christchurch about 4 times a year and try to stay at pavilions every time. We have only ever had 1 issue , which was that the room hadn't been cleaned yet when we got in but we were swiftly moved to a new room. Onsite parking is also a bonus. Even if the park outside the room is taken, there is another near by.nOh and the wifi works as it should, all around site.nThank you for having us. See you again soon.
Highly recommended.nWe stayed with a sports team 27 people. Accommodation was perfect for large group. Use of the large team room was perfect for team meetings.nFood was excellent for match preparation.nStaff were extremely accommodating to our requirements. Friendly, professional and great to work with.nExcellent facilities.nA great accommodation Choice.
The places looked great online. For $220 a night in a twin share room I was not impressed by the room. The rooms are dated, dark, need a good paint as well as table and chairs. The kitchenette area was poorly designed in a cupboard. There were options to get breakfast etc to the room, forms to fill out but no pen left to be able to write anything down. I asked for the sauna to be turned on and told to wait 20 mins for it to heat, we arrived after 25 mins, sat in there for 15 mins still waiting for it to get to heat, it was crappy so if a hot sauna is what you want this wasn't it. Overall it looked like a great place but once there I really wasn't impressed.
