Golden Hotel

Full marks for the hotel, definitely recommended. Our first visit to NZ from Australia and we were very impressed with our stay here. The environment was clean, quiet and the facilities were neat, new and well appointed. the food in the cafe tasted great and there was a choice of Asian food, a steaming bowl of beef pho on a cold morning was fantastic. The service staff was very helpful and helped us find our charger which we had neglected to lose. Overall a great stay, thank you so much!

I’m a bit late for the review but Golden Hotel deserves it. We visited NZ from Australia in April this year and stayed at this hotel. Staff was just amazing, very polite and friendly. Room was a beauty and had kitchenette too. It was very clean and hotel had plenty of parking available. Highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for making our trip wonderful.

The room was nicely insulated and staying on the second floor next to a busy street, you can hardly hear the traffic outside.nnThe staff was polite and helpful, and the room was nice and clean, the bathroom isnalso well lit and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from many restaurants and a Westfield shopping centre.nnWill definitely return!

The hotel was stunning! The room was clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom had a sleek, modern design. It was cozy, well-equipped with amenities like Netflix, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location offered easy access and parking, plus there were plenty of great dining options nearby. Would definitely stay again!

Don't stay here! I try to be positive when giving reviews but it is hard to find positive things to say about this place. The room was basic, reasonably clean and did the job, no real issue with this. However, there was a strong smell of cooking generally around the building, which permeated into everything. The carpet was stained in a number of areas and a layer of dust on bannisters etc. Every plant, of which there were many, was struggling to survive needing water and a dusting at a minimum. The reception was just filthy, dust and fallen leaves from the many struggling plants around the furniture. The cafe looked like it needed a deep clean and smelt bad. There wasn't any glass that has seen a clean in weeks or dare I say it months. There is an aquarium that has a few very large fish. The fish were way too big for the size of the tank and looked distressed .One poor fish couldn't turn around easily as he was so big. I was only staying one night and was glad to leave. The photos are not a very good representation of what to expect.
