Wigram Hotel

We loved this place. We stayed in room 201 which was newly renovated and had all of the luxuries of a new hotel with the charm of an old bnb. Staff was amazing. Friendly and helpful. Another pleasant surprise was that the food was really good too. I maybe wasn't expecting that level of food from a small little hotel restaurant. If we pass through this area again we would definitely stay again

I spent three nights there, I found the hotel to be a well refurbished, the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was small but food was delicious and prices were reasonable. Definitely will be staying there again. It is out of the hustle and bustle of the city with lots of parking.

Stayed for two nights, staff are wonderful, beds are very comfortable, bathroom was warm, clean and well equipped with good shampoo and conditioner.nnThe breakfast was absolutely delicious and the coffee was delectable.nnParking was good in the location was in a nice suburb.nnI would definitely stay again.

This place gets everything right: the bed was super comfortable, the room was extremely clean, the decor blends old and new just right, and the heated tile floor and great shower were a treat. To top it off, the staff were friendly and very accommodating. I very highly recommend!!

This hotel is old and lacks modern amenities such as a lift to the second floor. They initially put one of our group who is disabled on the second floor so we switched rooms with her. This meant lugging our suitcases up the stairs since the hotel also lacks a porter or anyone willing to help. The room was ok, pretty large with a queen bed and a twin size, the mattress was comfortable. We had to turn off the noisy fridge. The bathroom was updated with a nice shower and it was clean.nThe service was pretty poor at breakfast as well. You place your breakfast order at check-in. We were the first to arrive but unfortunately everyone who arrived after us, in our group and several other guests, received their breakfast well before us. We waited half an hour to be served while others were served immediately and finished and left. The food was ok, not great.nOn top of all this the hotel is not really convenient to anything in Christchurch unless you're visiting the air force museum. I cannot recommend this hotel at all.
