Sudima Christchurch Airport

Close to the airport, with nearby shops and food outlets, bus stops to the city centre convenient that takes you about 1/2 hour, room spacious enough with comfy bed, tea/coffee making facility, fragrant and soothing toiletries were provided, with ironing board in the room... too bad we cannot stream on tv, no internet! Yes there is strong wifi connection!!!nStaff are friendly, polite and accommodating!!!

We had a great stay! The hotel is extremely convenient as it’s very close to the airport. We arrived early and didn’t expect to check in since the usual check-in time is 2pm — we only planned to drop off our luggage before heading to the Antarctic Centre. But surprisingly, our room was already ready and the staff kindly let us check in early with no extra charge.nnThe location is perfect. It took us about 5 minutes to walk to the Antarctic Centre, and afterwards we walked straight to a restaurant in the same complex where Woolworths is. Very convenient, and the food was delicious.nnFor early flights, this hotel is ideal because they run a 24-hour shuttle bus. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good night’s sleep before our early departure.nnOverall, we had a smooth and pleasant stay. We’ll definitely come back!

This hotel is very convenient and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and will drive you to/from the airport on their shuttle, at any hour. The rooms are clean and have good air conditioning and nice views of the greenery or courtyard. There is a nice lobby. There is no included breakfast, but you can purchase breakfast inside the first floor. Be cautious if you are on the second floor as some rooms don't have access via an elevator. The prices are very reasonable for a great location for getting to the airport! I've stayed here several years in a row and they have the same staff/concierge which is nice.

For being near the airport for an early flight and start I highly recommend Sudima for their service, clean and comfortable rooms. My room had a lovely outlook to the courtyard. It had a retreat vibe and I wished I was staying longer. They also offer a complimentary drink from the bar. I will stay again. Thank you to all the Sudima team.

AVOID!!!!!nnThis was a very disappointing stay from start to finish.nnWe were initially assigned Room 3226. After carrying all our luggages to the room, we discovered the door would not open. We had to return to reception, where we were told it was their mistake and were reassigned to Room 3221. No apology or assistance was offered.nnWhen we went to the dining area, we were told there were no available tables and that we would need to wait another 45 minutes. We were then advised that in-room dining would be the quickest option. We agreed, but ended up waiting 1.5 hours just to receive our food.nnThe food quality was also very poor. We ordered a burger which arrived soggy, dry, and clearly not fresh. While the food was delivered by a robot, which was a new and interesting experience. One of the desserts was handed to us by a receptionist in an open bowl, not properly covered, which raised hygiene concerns.nnThe room itself was very average in terms of cleanliness. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working, and the bathtub drain was blocked, causing water to pool instead of flowing properly.nnOverall, poor organisation, excessive wait times, low food quality, and basic maintenance issues made this a frustrating experience. Definitely not worth staying. avoid if possible.
