Commodore Airport Hotel

A really fantastic and well operated family owned hotel. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so attentive and helpful. We stayed at the hotel on two separate occasions at the beginning and end of our South Island travels and both stays were just great. Very comfortable rooms and great food. We had dinner and breakfast on both occasions. If you need a hotel near the airport you won’t be disappointed with the Commodore.

A 4* hotel with hospitality that’s totally 5*.nWe felt so welcomed. The staff escorted our luggage to room and also helped them backnto reception -all with a smile. Room was perfect, no cheap shampoo conditioner etc, pool was clean and had floaters etc spa and sauna with lavender spray were fab. Unfortunately didn’t have time to explore the gym and tennis court. Food available until 9:30 in restaurant otherwise could be room serviced 24x7. I do think restaurant staff perhaps could step up a little bit in their hospitality comparing with others in the same hotel but they were okay we have no complaints as such.nnLocation is absolutely fab. So convenient if you are flying.nnOverall, we would highly Recommend.

You can't ask for a better airport hotel. Super close to the airport, but somehow can't hear planes inside. Rooms are modern and clean and very comfy. Spacious too.nnLots of amenities like the hot tub, pool, and garden area. All well maintained.nnThe restaurant absolutely rocks. Although pricey, the quality of food and drinks, especially wine, are outstanding. We absolutely loved dinner. The breakfast was spectacular too, tons of choices of hot and cold foods.nnAnd to top it off, the hotel and restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful.nnBook this one and you won't be disappointed!

Absolute perfection! Awesome hotel, fantastic facilities for all ages. Friendly staff who go over and above. Free airport shuttle at whatever hour you need. Best night’s sleep. Wish we could stay longer. We will stay here every time we visit Christchurch now!

One night only but just perfect. Free shuttle, lovely welcome, awesome room,beautiful view, comfy bed, great night's kip, BIG bath first in weeks..., nice pool and sauna. Dinner in the restaurant wasn't cheap but was class and delicious. Roast veg Tortilla salad and Pork Belly. Kick ass Negroni and she knows her Negronis...nThis kitchen knows what it's doing for sure. Beautiful service, too. Breakfast was also a highlight, huge choice, and very tasty. Overall, it is a class act. Well done, The Commodore. Recommended.nPS The night before was at Aucklands Holiday Inn Airport. Same price, different experience in every way!
