Travelodge Hotel Wellington

We were quite happy with the Wellington Travelodge. The hotel is in a convenient central location and we thought the laneways access was terrific. Tbe room was modern but showing signs of wear but clean and tidy. We also got a high floor and the room was very quiet. The bathroom was terrific and the staff helpful and courteous. The price we paid was very competitive with other hotels in the city

I stayed here as they advertised the room as sound proof, but I could hear the person next door pacing up & down in his room all evening. Then around 9.10pm I could hear the shower turn on for approx 10 mins. I also couldn't get any sound from tv1 or tv2 & rang reception, & they said they were aware of it. That all rooms had issues. Also I was staying Fri & Sat night & was informed they weren't doing dinner or room service. Information I would of liked to have known before I booked my stay :

Good convenient location. Rooms were ok, a bit tired looking. Parking was an issue at 11pm at night. Clear instructions on where NOT to park would have been better as we got a ticket on 2nd night. Reception staff couldn't really help and never got back to us. Despite a phone made to hotel after we got home. Sorted ticket myself. Suggest you update parking card to be clear park in red numbered parks only that have no other signs on them. Or specify a floor

Great handy location however, 100% got fobbed off by staff when we reported the TV not going, obviously its a ongoing issue and not fixed yet ... but that was after serving chicken that wasn't cooked properly, so no hardship that the restaurant was closed Saturday and Sunday nights as we probably wouldn't have gone anyway. Breakfast came with part of the room price, should have learnt from the night before, no plates, only soup spoons for eating cereal, no teaspoons for tea and coffee ......expected more honestly.

Harbour view was amazing and location for us couldn't be beaten. Only down side which not really a biggie but bowls in room size of saucers and no option for caffeine free tea. Staff are lovely and rooms slightly dated but very clean. We will stay here again.
