Travelodge Hotel Wellington

Service was great. Location is expected of wellington: on a hill but multiple access locations to different parts of city. Very central.nnRoom was great until discovery of bedbugs. Left with bites. Would recommened asking for a switch as soon as found. Personally second-doubted whether or not I had bed bugs until bite marks additionally appeared day by day.

Went in to visit family from aussie, and I gotta say the first time at travel lodge I was impressed. The location was a bit a hassle to find and park our car, but we managed to find a car parking inside the building. The receptionist was great to our family, and their room was great too. It suits them well, just a couple with a little one.

When we first arrived, the front desk wasn't manned for long enough that a line formed. However, they more than made up for this with helping us try to trouble shoot issues with our cellphone.nThe rooms are poorly designed. We had to open 2 heavy doors while hauling luggage to get into a tight hallway that doesn't have light until you put your keycard in the switch. I am absolutely all for saving energy, but this feature actually made us spend more as we left lamps on so we could easily see when we entered. The room space didn't improve much when in, as the bed took up almost the full room making luggage tight. The walls were also thin and it was easy to hear others.nThe parking garage is shared. It was super tight to get into spots and only certain spots are designated for customers of Travelodge. Staff was inconsistent with procedures to check into parking.nLocation was very convenient.

Awesome place to stay if you want to explore Wellington.nGreat breakfast menu.nFriendly and helpful staff.nHad to pay for car parking $28.00. a day which was reasonable for the location.

Our travel agent booked a standard room for us which was tiny and claustrophobic. We paid extra for a bigger room. The room was old with no air-conditioning. You could open the windows to try and get some air but then had to contend with the noise from outside. The bathroom tiles were disgusting and needs ti be updated. You have to climb numerous steps to get to reception. Very basic accommodation and way overpriced. Would not recommend or stay at this hotel again. Very disappointing...
