Straight off the motoway. Reception on Floor 7. Staff very friendly and helpful. Accommodation on Floor 10. In a quiet corner looking over the back of the shops and carparks. Dining and fitness center on Floor 6.nTwo ways to floor 6. Main elevator which opens out to the dining room or go to floor 7 and down the stairs if you don't want to walk thru the dining area wearing your fitness clothes to go to fitness center.
Price was excellent for position of hotel -- right in city centre. Room clean but a bit on the small side, an excellent shower, and our room had great view over Harbour, 21st floor. Breakfast is great and if you prepay $6 cheaper. We have stayed here several times over past few years, but I have to say rooms are starting to look tired. Not bad at all but tv didn't work, no bedside lamp and had to turn off light by the door.nHowever, I will be staying here again despite the couple of grumbles.
It’s not a fancy place but it provides a comfortable room with all the amenities you need in a central location.nThe bed and pillows were soft and cosy.nI booked a harbour view room and we ended up with a partial view of the harbour. The morning sunrise was stunning though! Not sure how clean the bathroom was because I kept finding someone else’s hair in the shower, even by our second night there. The walls are a bit thin too, we could hear the neighbours coming and going.nThe buffer breakfast was alright, handy when you have an early start. There is a large set of steps to walk up to get to the lifts to get to reception and the rooms, which isn’t super convenient when you have heavy suitcases. I am not sure if there is another entrance that is more accessibility friendly.
I will NOT stay here again. TnThey take $50 from you on arrival as insurance for any damages and comes back to you 4-5 days later. They do not tell you this on booking or when checking in. TV only has 4 Sky channels. Curtains needs a wash. Restaurant staff need training - reaching over guest to serve others their meal. Breakfast is below average - dont waste your $32.50. Bed is comfortable and bathroom reasonable.
We arrived incredibly late after the Picton to Wellington ferry, but the warm welcome from the concierge made all the difference. They were friendly, helpful, and made the check-in process smooth and stress-free despite the hour.nnThe room itself was beautifully presented, with very comfortable beds and pillows and a warm pleasant scent on entry that immediately made it feel inviting. I especially appreciated the complimentary toiletries, They felt quality, with an indulgent fragrance, that didn’t leave our skin or hair feeling dry like many hotel products do.nnThere were some minor signs of wear and tear in the bathroom, but nothing that impacted our stay in any meaningful way.nnThe views were great, and the location made it easy to access the city, which was a big plus.nnOverall, a really enjoyable stay. I would happily recommend it and will definitely return next time we’re in Wellington.nn* Lol my daughters only complaint was that the only channel that had sound was devoted to Republican propaganda
