We were so impressed with the friendly, professional and responsive service delivered by all staff. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcome and acknowledged as guests. Nothing felt like an imposition, which was a notable difference to other hotels we stayed in during this trip.nThe rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The daily chocolate hour was a highlight - generous, high quality and fun. The hotel cuisine also deserves special mention: excellent food and clearly a great chef behind it.nThis was the best service we experienced on our entire trip and a wonderful way to unwind and rejuvenate before heading home. The convenience of valet parking with electric vehicle charging was the perfect finishing touch. We would happily return.
Enjoyable stay. Staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive, we had a minor door issue, this was handled immediately and resolved while we were out to dinner. Excellent service!nnGreat location with easy walks to Cuba Street, Lambton Quay, and the waterfront. Loved the chocolate hour and breakfast, with a generous buffet offering plenty of choice and city views. The hotel was quiet, making the pool and sauna especially relaxing.nnThe décor is stylish and calming, with plenty of inviting spaces to unwind. While the room was compact, it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. A relaxing, down-to-earth hotel - highly recommend!
Mövenpick Hotel Wellington is a lovely place to stay and a bit of a hidden gem. The layout is unique, with reception on the fifth floor and family suites on the lower levels, which works well.nnI really enjoyed my weekend getaway. The family suite was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with separate lounge and bedroom areas. The bathroom was well equipped with good amenities and a nice selection of personal products, and the comfortable robe was a thoughtful touch. Tea and coffee options were also well provided.nnThe hotel is located in a quiet area, and having a lift with direct external access near my room was very convenient and surprisingly quiet. Breakfast at the restaurant offered a good variety and lovely views over the city.nnIt’s an easy walk to Cuba Street and the CBD, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here again.
My wife and I have stayed at the Movenpick Hotel in Wellington over two dozen times in the last two years. Whenever we are in Wellington on business it's our go-to hotel for a number of reasons.nA. The hotel has a warm European Boutique style with a free chocolate buffet every afternoon and freshly made cookies, giant Jaffa's on reception console table.nB. Friendly, attentive, professional staff.nC. Free Swimming pool and gym.nD. My all time favourite is the close proximity to Cuba Street, just a short ten minute walk down Ghuznee Street and you will find an endless array of bars and restaurants for the weary traveller.nn*a note to anyone walking down to Cuba street please use the guest elevator by the bar down to the rear carpark. It will save you a steep six floor walk and the same on the way home.nPhew a lifesaver!nThe rooms overlooking the front of the hotel are smaller but quiet as they are away from the elevators. The rooms on the city side are larger and have better views but get elevator traffic at night.nHope that helps you enjoy your stay.
Stayed 3 nights. The bed was great, and the room reasonably furnished with a desk and good wifi. Breakfast was god with a good selection and made to order eggs, waffles or pancakes. There's a small but well equipped gym and a 17m lap pool.nnStaff are very helpful and friendly.nnOn the downside is its location on the Terrace puts it 1km uphill from pretty much everything. Its quite a hike to the Cuba mall or Courtney place eateries and the hotel restaurant selection is limited and expensive.nnIts geared for tour groups and according to the staff small conference groups.
