Mövenpick Hotel Wellington

Friendly service and walking distance into town to find food.nThe staff where very friendly.nThe bed was very soft and comfortable. I usually enjoy a firm mattress but was surprised how comfortable the softer bed was.nThere was a weird noise, that could be heard from the room, I suspect it is the lift as later in the night / early in the morning it was not there. I had actually tried to change rooms to avoid the sound but found it in the second room.nnOverall I was happy with the stay.nFelt like a 4 star hotel.nnI would stay again.

The best service we've ever received while staying in a hotel. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable, with great tips for travelling around the area. The valet parking service was also very convenient and I highly recommend it for anyone with a rental car.nnThe location is a five minute walk from Cuba Street which has some great restaurants and a 20-30 minute walk to Te Papa and the waterfront. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable, and they feature blackout curtains for keeping out the city lights and daylight.nnWe'd absolutely stay there again and highly recommend it for anyone travelling to Wellington!

I'm not completely sure about the 5 star, but at least I felt myself a bit in Europe. We had a bit of issue with the bathroom, but the beds are comfy and that's what matters. It's a bit odd that we had a door between the rooms, so the sound of the TV can be heard from that room clearly, I would have expected better soundproof. And at least double glazed windows :D Also, cheap room gets cheap view to some new builds, and somehow the loud motorbikes really liked to go vroooom this long weekend. Might not be the experience for all, but a double glazed window could have helped the sound from the streets. Might be okay for a business trip, but don't expect too much for weekend getaways. Breakfast is awesome tho, but nobody told me I can get a real coffee for free, just need to be ordered from the staff.

Beautiful hotel, lovely amenities, great room and close to town - just a 7 minute walk to Cuba Street. Views were spectacular from our room! Chocolate hour is a must and such an amazing addition to our stay! Will definitely be staying again!

It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to get to the main street. The hotel is on a hill so you need to be in shape to get back up the hill. Good breakfast and great views while eating. Rooms have no drawers for clothes. 1 shelf in the closet. We were in 104.
