The location is quite good, right in the city center and very convenient for everything. The bathroom fixtures in the guest room are from Hansgrohe and are very easy to use. The bed covers are very soft and comfortable. However, the mattress caused my back to hurt after sleeping on it. The hotel's paid breakfast was very bad. The table was very dirty, and there were small mosquitoes flying all over the dessert counter. During the meal, mosquitoes were also flying around everywhere. The coffee cups were not satisfactory to use, and they were hard to hold with fingers. It was the worst coffee cup I have ever used. The overall breakfast dining environment and experience were far worse than that of the INDIGO in Auckland, which is also under the IHG group. I won't choose this hotel next time I come to Wellington. The details are poor. The scale in the guest room is just for show as it has no battery. The overall feeling is that it doesn't meet the standards of a five-star hotel.
Had an amazing stay at InterContinental Wellington!nTop location, lovely rooms with windows that open for fresh air.nThe spa with pool, sauna and cold bath was perfect for relaxing.nA special thanks to the concierge team —Jason, Zachary, Carlos and Benjamin — who were exceptionally courteous and dedicated, making my stay truly exceptional.nDon’t hesitate to ask them for any information or recommendations!nnReception was great too, especially Harjinder, who made everything effortless.nnDon’t miss this place — you might never want to leave!
went here to celebrate new year eve and drive 8 hrs in total and not got relaxed when we went in this hotel is really trash. We are family of four one new born and 5 yrs old they give us the smallest room without bathtub and ugly view “we cant even see a buildings” and the room is so small for us and request to them and they do nothing and they don’t even mentioned that the buffet ends at 10.30 at weekdays an we missed it! we should stay for 3 days but made us out within 19 hours its totally mess! they dont even totally prepare the room no disposable slippershave to ask there’s a coffee and they dont put a milk at the refrigerator they said they forgot to put and i think they have some problem for who u r my partner is punjabi and talk to him like trash at reception very rude. dont go here its really bad hotel they depend on what u look like!!
Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. The rooms are extremely comfortable in the pool. Deck is very modern and beautiful. We had to catch a late flight and they were super accommodating and allowed us to stay at the hotel until 2:00 p.m. for no extra charge.
Currently under construction which was fine. However the bars across the street are so loud that if your room is facing them you may as well go out and join them because you won’t be sleepingnVery disappointed in the lack of sound proofing or mentioning that the room would become a nightclub on Friday night.nBreakfast buffet amazing!!! But other than that I doubt I would choose this hotel again in the future especially for the price pointnThe level of noise they shouldn’t even be able to charge you to stay here so be warned anyone that requires sleep.
