InterContinental Wellington, an IHG Hotel

We absolutely loved our short stay at this amazing hotel. The staff were exceptional, everyone added to a fantastic experience. Our room was well appointed with harbour views & a spa bath. The angle of the mirror in the bathroom also allowed harbour views in the refection. Very nice touch in design. The location is perfect, a block away to the main street. A massive amount of beautiful cafes, bars & restaurants all within easy walking distance.

This is a lovely hotel with a very central location. The hotel staff are wonderful, efficient and friendly. The rooms are elegantly appointed and in a good state. The breakfast is very nice and reasonably priced.nNot everything is perfect however:n-the sound isolation could be better. My neighbours had guests until late last night and it was quite noisy. I could also hear the elevators from my room.n-I booked my rooms a few months ago and there wasn't any notice at the time that the pool and spa would be closed during my stay. It was disappointing to find this out when I arrived. IHG has made the effort to provide an alternative pool option, but going across town to a public pool even a nice one doesn't really compare to having a luxury hotel pool 5 floors down from one's room.n-the harbour view rooms don't all have a great view. In my case, the premium view was fairly obstructed by neighbouring buildings.nOverall, this is a nice place to stay. I may try a different hotel during my next visit to Wellington.

Absolutely masterclass in hospitality. I've stayed at many top hotels and this one is one of the leading ones. Great service, plenty of nice, happy and helpful staff, excellent concierge, easy valet parking, and nice touches throughout. The location is also unbeatable. I usually come here for business travel, but looking at it for vacation - it's even nicer.nnThe rooms are well appointed, and as an extra special, they gave us a really lovely welcome to celebrate our stay!nnLastly if you have an EV - they offer free overnight charging at 22kw. The $50 cost is actually cheaper and more convenient than using a supercharger.

First time coming to this hotel and had an absolutely amazing experience. Lukas at the club lounge bar was incredible and my family have always had an exceptional time with him, he paid attention to everything we said and had great conversation and also managed to surprise us with anniversary/birthday gifts platter from the hotel. The hotel also gifted us complimentary cheese and wine due to the fact that we thought the bath was a little under cleaned everything else was absolutely spotless. Staff are respectable and amazingly well trained and this hotel will ALWAYS be my go to for any event or stay. 100% recommend to anyone and every dollar is worth it

This was our second stay in a Club-level room here, and we had a great stay. The bathrooms had been updated since our previous visit, and were nice and modern. We loved having breakfast in the Club, and the chef there was very personable. The relaxed vibe, delicious canapes, and excellent service for evening cocktails were also wonderful.nnThis hotel has an ideal location, directly across from Queens Wharf and right in the middle of everything. We didn't seriously consider any other hotel for our three nights in Wellington.nnThe only downside was an unsatisfactory dinner in the GPO restaurant. They were unable to reasonably accommodate my request to minimize dairy in my meal, and unable to tell me that until my reduced meal was served.
