Oaks Wellington Hotel

Was extremely satisfied with my stay at Oaks Wellington, from the moment you check-in the staff will go out of there way to help in anyway. The rooms are tastefully decorated with nice mutual colors that give that nice relaxing vibe, plenty of space to move around as well. Room has everything you need for a awesome stay, my room was large and extremely comfortable, the balcony was a good spot to relax and unwind any time of the day. The bar and restaurant is brilliant, has a wide range for the buffet breakfast which tasted fresh and well cooked. Check-in and check-out was a breeze with no issues for both. Enjoyed my stay, and will definitely be back the next time I am in Wellington. A few nights was definitely not long enough

Stayed 2 nights 11/12 Oct 25nPros:nGood location in the citynRoom was compact and clean as was the rest of the hotel.nCons:nParking storage not good as was way too small and not suitable for medium/long cars as the turn up the ramp is too tight! So had to park in Wilson Parking building which was annoying and expensive!nThe tiled floor in the shower in the bathroom room is dangerous when wet and is extremely slippery. There should be railing to hold on to?? This is an accident waiting to happen.nTWNB unfortunately was the width of a hospital gurney. Very narrow so sleep was broken....waiting to fall out of bed.nLeft the change of room card on the door handle the next morning to be serviced. It hadn't been serviced by evening time when we arrived back so had to call housekeeping.nUnfortunately there were issues with this stay.nM Montgomery

Had a great experience, super helpful staff, clean modern rooms with every amenity you'd expect. I had the buffet breakfast included in my accommodation price, was nice enough, they had gluten free options not sure I'd pay $35 for it as an add on. Parking is incredibly tricky even with a small hatchback. But great location for in town.

Stayed in a hotel room with city view on the 6th floor not much of a view from our room, but not an issue. Overall, the room was comfy, modern I love the minimalistic bathroom design!, and well-equipped with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Would definitely come back again and hopefully get placed on a higher floor to get a better view of the city.

I really wanted to give this a higher stat rating and tried to give them every opportunity to make that happen, but no issues were ever resolved. We checked in late Tuesday and were surprised to find the parking was really only suitable for very small vehicles. We did get our RAV4 in there but it was challenging as was getting out. Wednesday morning when we went to take a shower and there were hairs on the ceiling, the walls, both in the shower booth and the bathroom part. I went down to speak to reception about it and ask them to have it sorted but even when we checked out 3 days later these hairs were still all over the bathroom even though housekeeping had been in twice. The bathroom is very strange as it’s all glass with just a sliding door and so not really private and let’s just say there is no sound reduction, the breakfast was fine .. I do love that there is an egg station and the eggs were great, most of the rest was alright but nothing to write home about. Check out … well that was significantly more difficult than. It should have been established what needed to be paid … had to deal with 2 staff members and both just seemed confused. The location is great, extremely central, and easy to explore Wellington from, but that’s probably the only benefit. Our air conditioning was broken half the time which made sleeping frustrating as it was either too hot or too noisy. Just overall really disappointing.
