Just got back from an amazing trip! My hotel had such clean rooms, making it super cozy after a long day of exploring. Plus, the central location was a lifesaver, putting me right in the heart of everything. The breakfast spread was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly helpful with all my questions! The only tiny downside was the parking, which was a bit snug. Overall, a great stay! #travel #hotelreview #cleannness #location #breakfast #helpfulstaff #parking
Highlight of all was the unfriendly receptionist, specifically Brooke. No greeting, zero smile. Totally unprofessional. Felt like she hated the job so much. Please consider switching to other department with minimal human contact e.g. kitchen crew or housekeeper. Breakfast was decent. Room was okay apart from the mouldy air vent in the toilet. It’s 2026 and they should consider cashless option to use their washer and dryer. Parking is limited and we’re told this needed to be booked prior to arrival, but how would we know? We’ve been to ibis before in other part of the world and this was the worst yet. Expected better.
We needed to amend our booking, the staff were happy to help with this. Just a few little things I felt could have made our stay better. When I arrived at the underground parking which I had booked the lady over intercom said “ Come to reception “ I said really? You want me to come to find a park and report to reception?! Then come back to my booked parking. There was silence for 5minutes as I’m saying hello are you still there? With no reply. Then the automatic door opened , and all she said was “come to reception”! Once we parked our car, made our way to reception to check in. While doing so I was told there would be a seperate $50 transaction with zero explanation. So I asked what is this for? Was told it is to cover any damages. No where in our booking confirmations was this mentioned. We were handed our room key, told level two. We get in the lift and press level 2 and we’re aren’t moving. After 3 minutes panic sets in so I hit emergency button. The lift door is opened and we are still on ground floor feeling rather silly. They said did you tap your room key on the sensor? Well did you tell us too was my reply, no you did not. Don’t assume everyone who checks in has stayed at a hotel before and knows the drill! That aside albeit a frustrating check in, the room was clean, well stocked with linen, tea & coffee facilities & milk. Luggage rack, iron, hairdryer, hangers & Shampoo/Bodywash. The linen was lovely & clean. The double beds were so comfy! We had no noise and had a great sleep. Good water pressure in the shower but the toilet was very low to the floor and a very small bowl. If you are on the larger side you would struggle! I’m not exactly tiny and I struggled to get up! Check out was straight forward but she never told me about the $50 I’d paid and when I could get it back/ process. So I had to ask her.
Ibis is a good hotel to stay at if you are on a budget. The room is nice, however the beds are only double so very small... being that it was summer when we stayed it was to hot to be in such a small bed without room to try and stay cool. We did use the aircon but this was very loud even on the quietest setting so we found it hard to sleep. The breakfast buffet was nice and enjoyed. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Good value mid-range hotel. Included breakfast was great with a good variety of food types. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Room clean and fresh smelling. I don't know what these other reviewers want but we certainly can't see the issues others complained about. It's not a brand newly built hotel but it's far from rundown.nGreat location in the city centre.
