ibis Wellington

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Room was spacious, clean, and modern. Perfect location as well. Within walking distance of everything you need with plenty of transport options nearby.nnMaybe a little niche, but I do appreciate decent water pressure in the shower. This place didn't disappoint.

It was a disappointment for us. Among many options, we chose a well-known hotel thinking we would be comfortable for one night and that it would be the best choice - but we regretted it. As you can see in the photo, the chair was disgustingly dirty, covered with hair, and we didn't even sit on it. Even the worst motels show more care than this. The toilet and bathroom smelled bad, and the water system didn't work properly. We felt very uncomfortable. The kettle's plug was almost impossible to reach - I guess they placed it there so guests wouldn't use it; I've included a photo of that as well. Honestly, we deeply regret choosing to stay at the Ibis Hotel just to have a comfortable night.nnThe breakfast option was nice. My husband doesn't eat eggs with milk, so we asked for plain eggs and they brought them right away. That was the only good thing.

We had a fabulous stay in a spacious corner room with stunning views over central Wellington. The room was warm, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the on-site amenities were excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We especially appreciated the wide hallways and thoughtful layout. It felt open and inviting, not cramped or overcrowded like so many modern hotels. A truly enjoyable experience!

Room is in desperate need of an update. My curtains don't match - one brown, the other orange. Not very spacious. Not a smart TV. Hallway carpet is stained. However, reception is super friendly and helpful. Located right in the city, close to everything you need within walking distance.

The rooms were quite cramped for three adults. The washrooms only had shower gel, which should have included shampoo, conditioners, and dental kits. There was also no locker in the room. However, the location and breakfast were excellent.
