Novotel Wellington

We enjoyed our stay in Novotel Welling, the room was nice enough and it was great there was a bath which did get used after lots of walking around town. The extra woolen blanket in the cupboard was also appreciated and used. It was disappointing that the floor under the furniture was not clean and the couch had food down the sides of the cushions, both things did not get resolved in the three nights we were in the room which tells me the servicing was not done very well. The staff were very helpful and efficient, it was especially good how they described the various lifts to get up and down to the shopping area.

I recently stayed for two nights with my son and had a fantastic experience. Initially, I was concerned about our late arrival, but the clear instructions provided made check-in a breeze. Our room boasted a stunning view, and the food exceeded all expectations. Every aspect of our stay was perfect.

Nice stay, and friendly staff. Comfy beds and great views, and a very central location in Wellington which was handy. Room lacked a few things and felt a bit outdated. Booked for 4 people 2 adults, 2 kids but on arrival had only accounted for 2 adults. As such, we didn’t have enough towels, face clothes, kitchenware etc for 4 people. Our hand soap was empty, and I nearly poured a mouldy milk into my hot drink. Being inner city, parking was a bit of a nightmare so we opted for valet parking which was a nice novelty, but the one time we rang ahead from our room for our vehicle it had been forgotten about, and we ended up waiting for close to 30 minutes in the lobby while other patrons came and went. For $40 a night, we expected better service.

The room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortably firm. I had a lovely dinner and breakfast in your restaurant. The staff were very helpful in directing me to the Canadian Commission & gave me a map and directions to shops. All staff members were helpful and pleasant.

Situated on a main road, good if coming by taxi but more complex with your own car. Check directly with hotel re parking.nRoom clean and modern. Used the bar downstairs prices seemed reasonable taking into account prices tend to be higher in New Zealand.nMost tourist places walkable from the hotel.
