Novotel Wellington

Excellent and welcoming staff, comfortable place to stay for four of us. We had a good view on the top floor. Location was perfect and food was nice as well. We could find parking outside the hotel without any issues which was great.

I recently stayed for two nights with my son and had a fantastic experience. Initially, I was concerned about our late arrival, but the clear instructions provided made check-in a breeze. Our room boasted a stunning view, and the food exceeded all expectations. Every aspect of our stay was perfect.

Never stayed here before but it was close to the job and a reasonable price booed visa AllAccor club. Great room, fast check in and check out, pleasant and efficient staff. Room was clean and bathroom even had a bath which you rarely see these days.

We enjoyed our stay in Novotel Welling, the room was nice enough and it was great there was a bath which did get used after lots of walking around town. The extra woolen blanket in the cupboard was also appreciated and used. It was disappointing that the floor under the furniture was not clean and the couch had food down the sides of the cushions, both things did not get resolved in the three nights we were in the room which tells me the servicing was not done very well. The staff were very helpful and efficient, it was especially good how they described the various lifts to get up and down to the shopping area.

We stayed in a superior room with one king bed in March. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, although not quite as supportive as other hotels we've stayed. The view of the water was great, however we needed to go back to the front desk when we were inadvertantly given a room without a view the first time. The hotel is not directly on the water, but close enough to walk to the Wellington Waterfront Walk, access to the cable car, and all downtown sites. Great location!nnParking is addiitonal $14-15 USD per night as of March 2025. And all NZ parking lots we found are narrow and cramped, but the adjacent parking structure was pretty spacious comparatively with easy access! Nice.nnIf I had to find any negatives for the room, it was the squeaky towel bars that could be heard between rooms and water damage to the particleboard bathroom door bottom. This wasn't anything worth notifying staff about because it will be happening in all the bathrooms based on the design and construction materials. Finally, the design colors are bright and energetic, although at first glance of the red headboard, we did not have calming thoughts.nnStaff were friendly and helpful in providing suggestions of how to get to the Botanical gardens and river walk.nnWe would stay again due to location, staff and the price point for what you get is great!
