DoubleTree by Hilton Wellington

The hotel was absolutely fantastic. It is warm comfortable. The beds were absolutely amazing to sleep in the rooms. Had everything we need. We felt really comfortable and happy and very peaceful. The two bar staff were absolutely fantastic. They served us like Kings and Queens. Igive them all the best in the future and I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.

Me and family 2 small kids stayed here for 2 nights and it we are delighted with our stay! Thanks to the lovely receptionist who allowed us for an early check-in as we have arrived early due to change of schedule, kids were tired especially my daughter who has been discharged from ER and straight to the airport to fly to Wellington. Room was spacious, kids can run and play around. Overall we had a comfy stay!

Great modern hotel right in the centre of Lambton Quay. Rooms are good sized, very clean and well laid out. Complementary chocolates and bottles of water in each room along with an excellent tea selection.nnBut the best thing is the staff and team members. Didn’t meet a single person who wasn’t a delight. Would be very happy to stay here again.

The wife and I had a short 8 day holiday in NZ recently which included a day stay in WellingtonnMy wife had booked to have our Valentines and Wedding Anniversary dinner at the Double Tree by Hilton restaurant which was a 10 minute walk from where were were staying in Wellington.nRestaurant in centrally located on the 1st floor of the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in the heart of Wellington.nWe had and enjoyed a fixed 3 course meal menu with complimentary champagne on arrival which was a great gesturenThe meals were absolutely divine and delicious, with 1st class service provided by all the the staff.nWe couldn't have expected a more memorable Wedding Anniversary-Valentines night & dinner and thanked the hotel management before we left for the evening.nHighly recommended and a must try if you are ever in this area of of Wellington NZnLooking forward to visiting again when we are next in NZ.

Overall a really wonderful stay!nnThe good thingsnn- Helpful and wonderful service from friendly staffn- Gorgeous spacious room with bathtubn- Impeccably cleann- Soft comfy bedn- Blackout curtainsn- The hallways smell delightfully freshn- Ambient music in lobby, restaurant and by lifts set a nice moodn- Buffet breakfast was great value for money on a special deal for $29 NZDn- Late checkout and looking after my bags until my train departure was no problem and collection was smoothnnWhere there’s room for improvementnn- Maximum heating temperature in the room was 23 degrees - way too cold, especially for windy Wellington! I needed to be under the duvet or in the bathtub in order to be warm enoughn- As a coeliac, I wish there had been more gluten free options at the breakfast buffet, and the gluten free bread provided was not one of the good ones, it was small and flimsy
