James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor

Was an average room. Tv quite small, and walls are thin so you can hear everyone's business.nnThe beds are comfy, and the shower in the bathroom looks a bit gross, but isn't the worse.nnThey give you little amenities for your shower, however the shampoo and conditioner is way to small for most people with shoulder length hair to use.nnNot the worst, stay however could have been better.

We were told about this hotel by several friends who had stayed there previously and we found it did meet our expectations.nThe room was well appointed, but the cleaning staff needed to be reminded 3 times about the marks on the bathroom door.nCar parking for guests was okay, but a lift would have made it better, especially with suitcases.nLoved the “Happy Hour” at the bar, and the hotel is ideally situated to most of the local shops, restaurants and tourist attractions.nMotorway access was just around the corner and the exit from the Motorway was right across the street.nWe had a great time there and we will definitely be staying there again.

Very odd layout with multiple elevator levels situated a short distance apart, but it feels like someone turned a small mall area I to a hotel. Service was great, rooms are fine if a little dark and dated looking. Comfortable bed, clean area but no bath, just a shower area that doesn't close open entrance. All in all, it's not bad, but it's not a standout for me.

The hotel is located right in the middle of the shopping street. You can take a lift from the lobby right into the town centre. You can then walk to the waterfront in a few minutes. Food in the restaurant is excellent, the buffet is amazing. So much choice and an excellent way to spend £30 on some lovely food. Salad, main course selection, cheese board, dessert and ice cream to name a few!

Good clean and safe. Breakfast of high quality and lots of fruit on offer. Room service is excellent with good amount of milk for coffee. Difficult to understand parking on first arrival. Parking expensive. Lots of different lifts to get used to. Had enjoyed every moment.
