Excellent conference venue. We held a 2 day conference in 2024 that was so well supported by our venue co-ordinator and the rest of the staff. The tech firm they work with was brilliant we had international guest zooming in left right and centre; the food was excellent no complaints at all from any attendee 9a first; the rooms were set up in such good time with everything we needed, wanted and more.nEverything almost went ot plan; a speaker finished way to early right at the end of day one before our Network & Nibbles, was able to communicate quickly and effectively to bring the catering/drink/timing of that 20+mins before they were expecting. Efficient and cool in the face of a hiccup. The Network & Nibbles was excellently paced with tray food service and people grouping nad re-grouping that we the event went half an hour past time and we had to ask peeps to leave! our attendees commented on what a great conference we provided, in no small part to our support from the event co-oridnator and our combined work in the months leading up to it. She was able to give us very sound advice as numbers chopped and changed in this financial environment; I felt in very, very safe hands.
Had a lovely stay here on what was, my first trip to NZ and hopefully, not my last!. I understand that they may have been in the process of refurbishment. The room was clean and comfortable. The courtesy tray was a little lacking for two people and, there were no complimentary biscuits, which was a great shame.nnI was struck by the bar area where, I felt the furniture let the hotel down - torn/damaged seating which looked very shabby and generally, neglected. This appearance did not do the hotel any credit at all and was an easily avoidable oversight. In contrast, the cocktail I had there which contained Bailey's was memorable. All in all, I felt that the bar experience was at variance with, the quality of the rooms
Enjoyed our stay here, nice renovated room, quiet. The only minor thing was not much to chose from for overnight room service menu. But definitely will stay again. The buffet restaurant is a bonus too.
Our first stay was amazing. New renovated rooms, big shower, and close to everything. The pillow service was a nice surprise and was a good added touch free of charge. Breakfast was included with our stay and was great but would be a little expensive if not included. Being in the middle of the city, everything was an easy walk and was very convenient. There was even a Woolworth a couple doors down. The second stay we were in an un renovated room but was still decent with the same comfortable beds and pillows even though it felt dated.
Can't beat this place in all categories with similar rooms. The front desk was extremely helpful when I asked for a REALLY early check-in due to a tour that was to pick me up at 9:30a and to not have me back until after 8p. Was given a room with the assurance, that since it was not the room I had originally booked, I could certainly switch tomorrow. How can you beat that? You can't.nBoth rooms were well laid-out and comfortable.nI will stay here again if given the chance. You are close to everything with access to both Jervis Quay and The Terrace.nAlso - visit Fortune Day Spa and Jasmine's Restaurant when here. They are both in the Arcade located right by the Jervis Quay level elevators.
