Rydges Wellington Airport

My son and I stayed here for a night. Had a great view south and we loved watching the planes coming in. Very friendly staff and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the morning. Fantastic location in the airport but so quiet. Very reasonably priced for the location factor too. Surprisingly big room too with a couch which was nice.

I have just stayed here over the weekend for a conference. Had a 3rd floor room, so quiet I forgot I was at the airport! The staff were amazing, nothing was a problem. When I asked for the room temperature to be lowered it was. When I rang for more toilet paper it turned up in 5 minutes. The à la carte breakfast is good value for money. Would love to go back one day even though I live locally!

1. Terrible front desk receptionist- no smile, no hello. Checked in around 8pm on the 10th of October. One of the most unwelcoming people I have met.n2. Rattling noise from AC + lots of hair on the bed - so called front desk and they found us a new room which on further inspection also had many hairs on the bed the front desk girl who was with me at the time was appalled her self!. Finally found a 3rd room with no hairs on the bed - an hour later.nTotally not worth the price.

Not that good. The hotel in general was nice, but the rooms were not. When we entered the rooms, there was dust everywhere, hair on the beds and it was not made properly. The bathroom did not smell great either and has used tissues in the toilet. Had to ask the staff to clean it properly, so had to wait outside for 10 mins for it to be made. The TV channels was not good.

The airport hotel is convenient as it’s accessible within the airport but the rooms are dated and need upgrading e.g. the bedside light didn’t work, the door to the coffee area had broken hinges so didn’t close properly, shower leaked water through the bathroom. There are also no desks in rooms despite them being big enough. The food from the Whisky Lima Golf restaurant was average.
