Brentwood Hotel

Very clean and tidy. Always someone at reception ready to help, which is great. Everything works and coffee or tea set up in room just adds that relaxing mode, in the mix. Shower with toilet are very clean. Wonderful sleep in the just right comfort bed, not too hard and not too soft. Continental breakfast is nice from juices to cereal to hot foods. Lovely stay, staff are friendly and I would come back again.

Stayed here overnight as had a Bluebridge ferry to catch early the next morning. The rooms were dated and used but still clean and respectable. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Proximity to Wellington CBD and eating places close make it a good choice for an overnight stay. Will definitely return next time we catch a ferry

Bad old room smell is in walk away , corridors and in the room. Old non renovated building , furnitures. Still having separate hot and cold water taps in shower, sink . It’s annoying as the shower head non adjustable. And water splash everywhere. Charged $190 and not worth at all. Not recommended if you are looking for quality stay.

The Good: The staff was pleasurable to interact with. The bar was OK for an airport hotel of this stature. Kilbrinie neighborhood with two chain groceries and a plethora of takeaways/cafes is an easy walk to. The hotel itself is located in a fairly quiet area.nnThe Bad: The rooms are dated and worn out. Fridge did not seem to work in the first room I got and the wall heater did not seem to work in the second room I got. Second room I got was not cleaned well after the last occupants. The common areas are less dated and less worn out.

Air nz booked me in here. A great example of what happens if you stop investing in a hotel. Mould in the bathroom, paint flakes coming off the wall, chair covers worn out, fridge door cabinet has nothing to store. Only stay here if you have too.
