Rooms are fine bathrooms are a bit old - shower over old bath with wobbly half glass partition. Comfortable and modern armchairs in room. Good amenities and tea/coffee selection in room. A makeover would give meaning to its 5* status.nStaff excellent especially at the restaurant. Good selection at the buffet breakfast and great views from the restaurant.nOnly real downside and reason for this rating was that our room was located next to the extremely noisy service elevators. It sounded like an airplane was taking off! Noise started at around 06h30 including on weekends, however did abate after 20h - fortunately. Nonetheless pretty annoying experience especially as we’d paid extra for a luxury corner view room. Reception did say to let them know after first night if we wanted to change rooms but by then we’d already unpacked.
Overall an OK stay but it didn't blow my socks off. We paid for a Suite with Club access and I'm not sure I'd do that again. Service in the club was t great. The insistence on preventing guests from serving themselves drinks meant you needed to wait for a staff member but honestly they weren't ever in a great rush, instead spending a lot of time talking with their favourite guests or checking people in. There just didn't seem to be enough staff. So it's barely worth it.nWe had to remind them of our room number at every visit and wait to be seated. Just wasn't as welcoming as it could've been and I'm not sure I'd do the club again.nThe suite was lovely with a great view although the room is starting to look a bit tired, and room service was great too. Oh, and don't make the mistake of thinking that because you're 40 floors up it'll be quiet. There's construction in Flinders Lane and the walls are pretty thin.
Exceptional service from the moment I arrived, attentive and detailed. Room was stunning, buffet breakfast was delicious on the 35th floor. Bed and pillows were glorious, lots of complimentary touches. Huge towels, bathrobes and slippers. I didn't want to leave. I look forward to staying again!
-Perfect location close to Restaurant and Theatre district. But not too deep into cbd that getting to hotel means being stuck in traffic.n-Check in staff friendly, efficient and informativen-awesome views and well appointed comfortable and clean roomn-added experiences from welcome drink, to bath being run ready for post theatre, to the city’s perfect breakfast location
Possibly one of the best places I’ve stayed at during my visit in Melbourne. Absolutely loved the place and the room had the perfect view. I was able to look at the sunrise right from my bed. We also got a complimentary Champagne which was great. The gym was also really big and had multiple equipment.
