Dear Hotel Management,nnI would like to express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at your hotel.nMy wife was part of the Epworth Freemasons hotel package, which allowed us to stay at the hotel on Day 4 after giving birth. Because of this arrangement, I also booked an additional room for my parents and our 4-year-old son.nnOn 25 May, there was a city-wide electricity blackout around 5:00 PM. I understand that this situation was outside of the hotel’s control. However, I was very surprised that the hotel did not appear to have a backup generator or adequate contingency plan in place.nThere was no electricity or lighting until approximately 4:00 AM the next morning. This created significant stress for our family, particularly because my wife required electricity for her pump after recently giving birth.nnIn addition:n-There was no room service available for dinner.n-The lifts were not operating.n-We had to wait several hours before we could obtain food.n-Attempts to contact reception were unsuccessful because we were informed that the phone system was also down.nnThe following day, I spoke with staff to ask whether hotel management would consider any goodwill gesture or complimentary compensation, given that we were unable to utilise most hotel facilities and services. We checked in at 3:00 PM, and the power outage started only two hours later.nnWe considered returning home at night, but we were advised against doing so as our car could potentially become stuck in the car park due to the outage. Despite raising our concerns, I was informed that management had not yet decided on any response. Unfortunately, until now, I have not received any follow-up communication from the hotel.nnOverall, the experience was extremely stressful, especially given the circumstances surrounding my wife’s recovery after childbirth. While I understand the blackout itself was beyond the hotel’s control, I did not expect a hotel of this standard to operate without backup power, and I was disappointed with how the situation was managed, particularly regarding communication, food availability, and lift access.nnI would appreciate a response from management regarding this matter.
I was in Melbourne and Twelve Apostles one week in October 2005, and long transit from Hobart in November 2009,9-10 hours, but a rainy day in the city;time flies.nEverything perfect in Melbourne.nI share some pictures of Hyatt Hotels and Melbourne also,a trip to the recent past.nAre photos on photos, taken with camera, not cellphone, sorry.nNot music in the video in Maps, only in Photos.nI didn't stay at the Hyatt,I'm very sorry!.
I'll start by saying that everyone working at the hotel was very friendly, location was wonderful, and rooms were nice. That being said, this hotel *does not* meet Park Hyatt standards. Every single thing that possibly could have gone wrong with my reservation did - from lost luggage, check-in delays, not crediting loyalty, requests not being met, billing issues, post stay point credits. I had heard from others that this property had issues, but didn't believe it myself until I went.nnI genuinely don't like posting a review like this, but in this case I think it's important to provide feedback. I would love to stay again, but only if service was fixed in the future.
Fantastic Friendly staff very attentive the food is top-quality specially the Club sandwich crème brûlée empanadas with green sauce!! A favourite place to go to after a Rejuvenating day Spa experience or just go to the pool and gym at your own leisure. The champagne and the wine is very good quality. You can’t go wrong with your choice. The margaritas are delicious. I will go there again. New Year’s Day the food came out cold and maybe they were preoccupied but none the less I go back there the service is outstanding.
Went here for high tea and Had a really good experience!! The middle plate with the savoury food was amazing, the sandwiches, scones and cakes were good too. Unlimited coffee and tea!
