Lovely large rooms that are very clean. Huge bed that was very comfortable with lots of feather pillows available. The shower was good, with a large shower head and massage jets on a separate tap - however the water was not hot enough for me I like a very hot shower. Mini bar options were limited though not overpriced. We did have an issue with a beer that had been opened by a previous occupier and placed back in the fridge, but this was handled in a timely manner by the concierge. The foyer is beautiful, with a small bar area that serves coffee, tea, cocktails and food. The cocktails were all a bit sweet and the menu had a very large number non alcoholic options. A simplification of the menu would be good - and a better selection of not sickly sweet cocktails. Beautiful part of Melbourne, but it is a bit of a walk or tram/train trip to get to the main restaurants and bars. Close to beautiful parks and gardens.
Good, spacious rooms, quiet and tranquil location on the edge of the city and less than 500m from the buzz of the city. Staff members everywhere were extremely polite and helpful and this aspect really stood out for me. It was near perfect, except that food options were quite limited in the two eateries and the quality was quite ordinary so we were not tempted to have meals at this hotel. The dining experience is important to the overall experience of a holiday so I have to rate it regrettably overall as 4/5. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
This hotel has very impressive rooms. They are very spacious with a full walk in robe that you can also access the bathroom from. It had a very large bathroom as well. The rooms are nicely furnished. The breakfast was excellent too with the 5 star experience you would expect like made to order omelletes and very attentive service.Rooms: 5/5
My birthday staycation experience here was fabulous. I have been indulged with the convenient room and the great room service during my stay. I enjoyed the clean spacious room which is as expected. With a little noise heard from next door room at midnight, my sleep quality was still superb. Despite the less spacious breakfast area and limited breakfast selection, the food quality and execution was excellent. Never ever to miss order the benedict as for me this is the champion. I would also consider to try the in room breakfast for my next stay. Size wise, the swimming pool was also not big. When the hotel is full, it can be a bit inconvenient to access the swimming pool. For those who do serious swimming, might be better to access the pool early in the morning. In my conclusion, Park Hyatt Melbourne is value quality over size and quantity. Rooms: Great clean spacious room with a park view. Night service provided to make the bed and refill amenities. Nearby activities: Close to local cafes. Safety: Safety box available. Security staff are available. Walkability: It is walking distant to the city and close to tram stop and Parliament station. Food & drinks: Delicious food and drinks, not too many selection for breakfast, very nice dinner menu. Noteworthy details: Book the hotel during low season, and access pool early morning.
Don't hate it, don't love it, You get this grand entrance.... to walk inside what looks like the most oldest library ever. So bland and boring for an apparent 5 star hotel lol. The room had good space, the bed was somewhat comfortable. They need a revamp.Rooms: 3/5
Great for a stay. Great service. Not easy to get to by car but public transport is easy. Don't forget to visit Fitzroy Gardens. No idea where the closest open coffee shop is but you can get food coffee from the kiosk in the lobby.Rooms: 5/5
We are staying in a suite on 19/F with 2 young children. The loud party music and noise from the ground floor dining outlet kept my children up till 11pm and there was nothing the hotel would do about it. Room was clean but tired and dated, room keys were cute but only work occasionally, room service was fast but choices were limited. Breakfast buffet was available till 11am on weekends, but we've had much better elsewhere. Amenities are generous, and staff was nice. But that's about it. Families with children may need to reconsider staying here. Edit to add: The hotel called at midnight telling us they took our complaint very seriously and stopped the music at *12AM*, 2+ hours after I raised the concerned. Sounded the party went well
Lovely place to stay in the quiet 'garden' district of Melbourne. The hotel is close to a number of attractions, right next door to St. Patrick's cathedral and is easily accessible by public transport. The food and service is delightful. Walkability: Very close to Parliament Station McArthur Street exit and a tram stop that travels via Collins St.
We’ve stated at the Park Hyatt many times when we come to visit our son. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Melbourne. The team work so hard to make sure our stay is perfect even going out of their way to find firmer pillows for my husband. We went out for dinner and return to our beds which have been beautifully turned down.
A stunning hotel in the heart of Melbourne. I’d like to recognize the hardest working staff member: Mr. Walker the resident dog. Mr. Walker can be found out front the main entrance from time to time, greeting guests with his happy face. Stop by and give him a pet!
