Our stay at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean, with stunning views over the city.nnThe facilities were first-class from the elegant lobby and relaxing pool area to the well-equipped gym. Breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic variety of fresh and delicious options.nnEverything about our experience felt luxurious yet comfortable. We left feeling truly pampered and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Melbourne!
The hotel is a great location but it’s a big NO for me. It is very fancy from outside and all but we were put in a room where they added two beds together to make it a king. That is NOT truly a king bed. We asked them to move us which they did and we packed all our stuff in spite of being tired and having a long flight just to end up in a room ONCE again with two beds joined together. I specifically asked the guest service if they were two beds or 1 king bed and she specially said one king! This is our first night and we are never staying here again. On top of this we dined at Collins kitchen which is supposed to be nice and fancy. We had steak which was horrible, burnt from outside, dry and cold. Our sever was nice so we went with it and because we had been so tired from our flight. But then at 4am RIGHT NOW I literally woke up feeling sick and been throwing up for last 30 mins. I am extremely nauseous and weak because of all the throwing up. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO STAY HERE AND DEFINITELY NOT TO EAT!
Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city. Rooms and amenities were exactly what you'd expect from a hotel of this calibre: clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Check-in and checkout were both seamless. The setup has a lower ground entrance with a porter if needed and a ground-level check-in, which was well managed. While there was a small hiccup with no one at the service desk when collecting our bags, however I really appreciated that they securely held our luggage after checkout so we could make the most of our day before our flight. Would absolutely stay again!
Great place to stay when you’re in Melbourne!nWe stayed overnight as we had a work function to attend, and everything about our experience was excellent. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch — the staff were friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating - even a cookie on arrival whilst waiting to check in!nnThe atmosphere throughout the hotel is stylish and welcoming, and the attention to detail really stands out. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities you’d expect from a five-star hotel.nnLocation is also a big plus — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.nnHighly recommend for both business and leisure stays. We’ll definitely be back!
I proposed to my now fiancé during our stay at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, and the experience was perfect. I had called ahead to share my plans with reception, and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. They arranged a beautiful room for us with a stunning view and surprised us with complimentary wine and chocolates. Everything felt thoughtful, personal, and seamless. A moment we’ll never forget. A huge thanks to the amazing staff for making it so special. We will definitely be back.
