Easily the best hostel in Melbourne. Clean and nice rooms with AC and big locker for your items. Friendly and accommodating staff, was lucky enough to meet a super friendly receptionist that let me check in at 6am when i had nowhere else to go. Amazing customer service! They have a gym, that fills its purpose, a proper movie theather, jacuzzi and a brilliant kitchen. Great stay!
I recently stayed at Space Hotel as my first accommodation for my Working Holiday Visa, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by the level of service and attention to detail. The receptionist was exceptionally polite, and I loved the small touches like fresh fruit apples and bananas available at the front desk. They also provided free luggage storage despite my early arrival, allowing me to explore the area without any hassle—such a thoughtful gesture!nnThe facilities were fantastic and met all my expectations. The rooms were spotless and tidy upon check-in, and I appreciated that each shower room included both a lavatory and a shower head—it really made me feel at home.nnThe public facilities were another highlight. The gym, while small, was well-equipped for those who know how to use the equipment effectively. The kitchen was also a pleasant surprise—it’s stocked with small but thoughtful details like cooking oils, salt, pepper, and chili powder, which is a big plus for someone like me who loves to cook with a bit of seasoning. These little things really exceeded my expectations.nnThat said, the rooms aren’t fully soundproof, so you may need to be prepared for occasional noise from inconsiderate guests at night. However, this is more about guest behavior than the hotel itself.nnOverall, Space Hotel delivered a fantastic experience, blending great service, clean facilities, and thoughtful amenities. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay!
Impeccable service from staff; very helpful in terms of what to do. Nice rooftop terrace, bedrooms and amenities bathroom allowing privacy. The place is very clean and feels like a modern hotel.
Just had a great stay at Space Hotel - rooms all very clean and showers cleaned 3 times daily! Amazing facilities including big kitchen, a gym and a rooftop terrace and location couldn’t be more perfect - only a 5 minute walk to Melbourne Central. The highlight however was the staff, particularly Theo who was so kind and quick to help when we had a minor issue and made our stay even better. Thank you!!!
Stayed in a few hostels in the city and Space Hotel was by far the best !! Yes it is busy but so organized and well staffed. Shared spaces are kept clean, kitchen and social areas are away from bedrooms so it is nice and quiet. rooftop was amazing !!nHighly recommend
