Beautiful old world property, immaculately maintained and tastefully decorated. From the lobby to the rooms, much attention is paid to detail. The dining venue is excellent, offering a nice variety of regional fare. The amenities are also very good: gym, spa, pool, and rooftop deck are outstanding. Ideally situated next to the river, with easy access to restaurants, bars, and sightseeing. Finally, the staff is phenomenal! They are helpful, thoughtful, and very welcoming.
Love the Langham. Old school vibe. Comfortable beds and pillows. The buffet breakfast is one of the best in town in my opinion. So much variety and quality ingredients.nWould’ve been nice to get an upgrade or something thrown in the price is on the high side for rooms. Unfortunately, ‘you get what you get and you don’t get upset’!nHousekeeping was on point. Staff super friendly. Location great.
Terrible service from the front desk.nI called the evening of my sisters wedding and asked if there was anything special I could arrange such as sending a champagne to the room or have roses placed on the bed etc the gentlemen on the phone immediately cut me off mid sentence to tell me no in the absolute rudest most condescending tone. I can understand if something can’t be done sending a champagne to the room at my expense doesn’t seem that crazy though but please try communicating that nicely. I did not appreciate the attitude.
What a special experience to have stayed at The Langham, Melbourne!nThe entire experience from when you walk in the door to their good bye was wonderful.nWhen you walk in the door you are greeted with friendly smiling faces and beautiful smelling flowers.nThe staff were all polite and helpful.nThe rooms were clean and comfortable as expected and my husband surprise me with a boutique of flowers and they were more than happy to get me a vase to keep them fresh in the room! If you get a chance to book, even just for a night, do it. You won’t be disappointed!nI did get one of the pink and gold pens as a memento for our trip away, but unfortunately I think it’s since fallen out of my handbag.nIf there’s a chance to buy one and have it posted I would be very interested, but I can’t see these online anywhere.
I stayed for a week and it was a work trip. Considering it’s like a 5 star hotel, service is definitely lacking. They are not proactive.nnBuffet breakfast is fantastic with plenty to choose from.nnGym is well equipped and perfect location for your walk or run.nnThey offer a 12pm checkout which can be beneficial.nnI believe their dinner buffets are excellent with best Indian food however I haven’t tried it .
