Location and service are good, however…nIf you are sensitive to smell, particularly artificial perfumes, avoid this hotel. The lobby is sprayed with their signature scent. This is manageable if you don’t spend any time in the public areas. Unfortunately, the rooms smell like they have been sprayed with Ecolab room freshener/deodoriser. This has an artificial scent that is particularly offensive to those sensitive to artificial fragrance.
Loved my stay at The Langham. Staff were attentive, professional and friendly. I am grateful for the receptionist who helped me to check in early after my long haul flight. It was greatly appreciated. The buffet breakfast was exceptional with a great variety of food, an omelette station where you had one made to your specifications, staff members who prepared a coffee on request, a juice station where you added food items as desired to produce a healthy and delicious drink and so much more. Will definitely be back.
We had the most incredible experience at The Langham Hotel Melbourne over the weekend while hosting our conference. The service was exceptional — every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, and nothing was ever too much trouble.nnAnd the rooms? Hands down the best bed and breakfast experience.nComfort, attention to detail, and that signature Langham hospitality — perfection.nnHighly recommend for anyone planning an event, a weekend away, or simply wanting to feel truly cared for.
The hotel decor might be dated but the service outweighs this. It’s exceptional! Very personalised. The room is very comfortable and has everything that you need. The bed is amazing and you can order a different pillow type if you need.nI really appreciated the fully equipped gym with the cold scented towels and herbal teas. The highlight is the steam room, sauna & hydro showers - one for each gender- plus the indoor pool & jacuzzi with an amazing view over the city. The location is brilliant for a tourist! Walkable to many sightseeing places and eateries.
Booked a couple of rooms for a night in the city for my daughter’s Valedictory night. They rang me ahead of time to ask what our plans were and we said that we were celebrating this. Next thing we know was a room filled with balloons, this handwritten card and some snacks and a celebration cake. Absolutely made her day and ours. So thoughtful and you’ve just got some customers for life. Well done to the hotel and your special team.
