We were quite disappointed with our stay. We booked a 2-bedroom deluxe suite, paying extra for what was described as a 'deluxe' experience – yet, there was absolutely nothing deluxe about it. The rooms were basic at best, and although they claimed it was open-plan living and dining, the space was narrow, dark, and far from open. The couches were in bad shape, tattered and worn with nonexistent springs, making them uncomfortable to sit on. The whole room felt dark and musty, with an overall dated vibe.nnWhen I went to the reception to check what exactly made our room a ‘deluxe’ suite I had to double-check we’d even been given the right room, they told us the difference was that the deluxe was simply on a higher floor with a ‘view.’ However, our view was nothing more than the back of the adjacent building. If I had known, I would never have paid the extra – it was definitely not worth it.nnOn top of that, checking out was a nightmare. Only one elevator was working, and with our room so high up, it took us almost an hour to get down to the lobby. We waited at the lift at 9:45 a.m. and didn’t reach the ground floor until 10:35 a.m., alongside other guests in the same predicament. Stairs weren’t a realistic option for our family of five, especially with young kids and luggage.nnParking and unloading were equally frustrating. We decided not to pay the $30 per night for the on-site car park and opted for public parking across the road. But even getting our family and bags to the foyer was difficult due to the limited and cramped spots for loading and unloading.nnLastly, having a cemetery right at the entrance did little to help the overall atmosphere. All in all, we would not stay again – it was far from the experience we expected.
Front desk happily gave us whatever we needed more sugar packets, extra towels, etc. It's walking distance to the hospital and several food outlets but not a proper supermarket. The rooms are generally nice, and the small balconies are lovely for getting airflow in on warm nights as it's a full length door rather than just a window. Not all rooms have them, but getting a room with its own laundry makes all the difference! Basic kitchen tools are supplied but no egg cups, and no scourer just a cloth. Although I was able to use the salt from the room's tea/coffee tray to create a scouring paste for the mugs. The bed was comfortable, and had a variety of top covers so that choice of over layer was flexible. The vinyl couch had some rips in it, which were sharp against bare skin, but fine once we covered it with the spare blanket from the cupboard. The shower pressure was lovely! Overall it was a very nice place to stay.
**Overall Experience:**nThis studio apartment offers a blend of practicality and comfort, perfect for singles or couples. The location and layout are standout features, although some may wish for more furnishings or a better noise buffer. Overall, it’s a solid choice for short-term or long-term stays.
Took hefty security which was not mentioned while booking. So felt kinda betrayed. Kitchen was v good. Had all basic amenities. Bed and furniture was clean and comfortable. Location was though opposite a cemetery. On 18th floor windows were made of full glass and could be opened fully. Absolutely scary for parents with small children. Had to stack suitcases in front on window. Congested parking and was also charged on top of room price. Gr8 Internet connection
So disappointed with the lack of communication, hygiene, and customer service of this motel. I understand if motels cannot clean our rooms daily but at least provide us with the cleaning stuff and vacuum when needed. The staff that cleaned our motel the 5th day we cannot believe what we saw the cleaner did not have a mop to mop the floor instead she was on her hands and knees mopping the floor I felt so sad seeing the girl that’s I thought to myself how can I 4 star motel in town not have the proper equipment for the cleaning staff to clean. Anyways after the staff left we went to countdown hot our own cleaning stuff and literally spring cleaned the room. Oh the dust that the room collects is so disgusting as well made me wanna cry. Also the smell of the rooms and the furniture is all worn down so bad that it looks like it’s allocated so much bacteria and also this motel you have to cater to yourself from taking rubbish and towels downstairs also toilet paper and just Normal necessities a hotel should provide for you on a daily!
