Always stay here when we fly into Auckland. Hotel is a little tired but the service is great. My bathroom door was locked from the inside at 1am and I went down to ask for help. The night management team can’t remember the two gentlemen’s names were efficient and wonderful in solving the issue. Very quiet and considerate too as I informed them my family were sleeping soundly. Thank you to the both of you. Location is central and you can pretty much walk anywhere from here.
This hotel boasts an unbeatable location! Right in the heart of Auckland, everything is at your doorstep. However, for the price tag, the hotel feels seriously outdated. The rooms are in desperate need of an update - think dated furniture and decor that wouldn't look out of place in a time capsule. While convenient for location-focused travelers, be prepared for a slightly disappointing stay considering the cost.
As other reviewers stated this place is in a great location. So many great places to eat and shop within 5 min walk.nnOne thing that I don’t see a lot of other reviewers mention is that the hotel has laundry which was a nice surprise for us. It’s $2 for each machine.nnMy kids loved the elevators, it tells you which elevator car will be coming and goes directly to your room.nnI liked that it’s attached to a shopping mall that has pretty good boba tea.nnThere is a lot of construction at the main entrance so we entered / exited through mall.
we keep coming back to this establishment for its great location, perfect choices for family of 4 like me, and the great facilities as well as services here.nnWe always get a room for 4 with double bed. It has gym but it has no swimming pool. It also have cafe and restaurant in the lobby, with concierge and check-in counters ready to help. We can get daily parking spot for an extra fee. amenities in the room is quite complete, with safety box, slippers, free coffee, tea and water.nnIt's very close to the Sky Tower, I can see it from my room. The view from my room is also nice.nnThe location is very strategic, near the city center of Auckland, including the famous Queen street and the water fronts, with all its stores, restaurants, and museums.nnIt is located in adjecent to a shopping mall as well, with facilities such as beauty saloon, spa, souvenir shop and food corner.
Outdated room where the fridge was empty. Usually it’s full with beverages, however not this time which seems like a money loss for the business.nBy the sink, we had body and hair conditioner, rather than the moisturiser and this made no sense as previously stayed at the Crown, there is usually moisturiser available so I did not bring my own, so I was annoyed.nWe room serviced two non alcoholic beverages and cost us over $18 which we were surprised about the high cost.nViews are amazing of the sky tower when on one of the top floors.nRoom was clean and tidy with a robe, slippers, and essentials ready for use.nSeems like a great business stay as desk is available with an office chair. Wifi is also available on site.nThe elevators with the views were so good just like as they are in sky city.nCustomer services are friendly and reception area looks renovated and well presented.nWould recommend parking at sky city as when you dine there you get free parking with a sky city card if you have one.nVery close proximity to retail, sky city and a 15ish minute walk to the viaduct.nOverall, will stay again as I would like to experience my stay abit differently and maybe try the restaurant.
