Crowne Plaza Auckland, an IHG Hotel

Beautiful hotel with a great location. Just a short leisurely walk to shops and ocean! The restaurant is great if you don't feel like walking, the food is delicious. Staff are courteous and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable except they should have bath mats and hand rails in their showers as they are very slippery. Otherwise a very pleasant stay twice at Crowne Plaza Auckland.

I was all ready to leave a 5-star review because the hotel's location is great, the staff was friendly, the gym has lots of equipment, the room was nice, and they have a big breakfast buffet. However, upon checkout we were hit with a big surprise... the buffet was 38NZD per person. When we checked in, the front desk staff member simply mentioned that breakfast was served during 630-1030am, but did not mention the additional cost. We assumed breakfast was included by the way staff member discussed it.nnWhen we got to the breakfast, the wait staff asked for our room, but made no mention that we would be charged.nnSomeone at some point should have mentioned that breakfast was not included. Had we known about the cost, we would've gone to a local cafe for breakfast.

Very pleasant stay. Room clean and very comfortable. Breakfast plentiful and good quality. Liked the made to order omelette option! Staff were all polite and professional. Thank you. Looking forward to my return visit next week!

What an amazing experience, right in the heart of Auckland! As an IHG member, I was delighted to be offered early check-in, which was a tremendous help after a sleepless flight. A special thanks to Elizabeth at reception for her warm and efficient service—it made all the difference. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a great variety and quality to start the day.nnOne humble suggestion: adding a pool and steam room would take the experience to the next level. Overall, a wonderful stay—I look forward to returning!

We spent our first night in New Zealand here, and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the room was clean and was a nice size. In addition, we had a nice view of the Sky Tower. The location was awesome - very walkable to pretty much everything we wanted to see. The construction going on along the street did make finding the carpark a little trickier, but we didn't have too much of an issue.
