Absolutely amazing! The staff, the location, the service and even the price was absolutely amazing. I will not be staying anywhere else when i am in Auckland ever again, this is the only hotel i will choose. Buffet breakfast at the restaurant was also perfection . Thank you so very much for looking after our family.
I recently stayed at the JW Marriott Auckland and had a fantastic experience. The hotel’s location is perfect, being close to the waterfront and key amenities. The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. The food was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options. My room was comfortable and well-maintained, with all the essentials provided. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was elegant yet welcoming, making it a great place to relax. I highly recommend JW Marriott Auckland for anyone looking for a quality stay in a convenient and scenic location.
I am checking out today after 4 nights. First and foremost the location is fabulous! Checking in was smooth and the restaurant staff friendly and efficient. The room, while nice was not cleaned to an exceptional standard. I did like how we could request cleaning but often water was not replaced, yet towels were constantly.nnThe gym was great, 2 of the 3 treadmills worked but the view wow! The hot tub however was an issue. Night two it was closed with no notice. Night 3 upon returning to the hotel we asked the front desk if the hot tub was closed as we did not want to go up once again to find it closed, the front desk after talking to 2 people had no idea. We went up and it was cold. I left my friend stayed, when her and others complained they were told it was 32 degrees below body temperature and that was fine, to everyone else that is not a hot tub.nnSo overall a 4. The service was great depending on who you talked to. Room decent, location fantastic, gym I used it every day great, hot tub avoid.
The foundations of the JW Marriott are good, the rooms are large and well appointed with modern TVs, comfy beds and well appointed bathrooms. The gym is also large, with good facilities. It's the experience that lets it down a little. Firstly, while the staff are friendly, there are often long waits for reception, with no priority lines. The aircon in the rooms are noisy and the room service and coffee are sub standard.nnI enjoyed my stay, but wish there was more attention to detail for a premium brand in the portfolio.
An excellent hotel that is much better than the Hilton Auckland. My room was top-notch; my only wish was for the shower stall to be larger. The breakfast buffet was a delight with a good spread including Asian dishes. Location-wise, the hotel is in the heart of downtown, near the main train station and ferry terminal.
