Pullman Auckland Hotel & Apartments

We have stayed at Pullman Auckland Central many times over the years, and it continues to be one of our favourite places to stay in Auckland.nnAs Accor ALL Platinum members, we always appreciate the recognition we receive, but the team at Pullman Auckland Central consistently goes above and beyond. On every visit, we are looked after so well, which makes our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.nnWhat stands out most is the people. Every member of staff we have interacted with has been genuinely welcoming, professional, and eager to help. The service is excellent and even when I got the booking wrong last time we stayed they changed to the right day whilst still making me feel very welcome and made and it is clear that guest experience is a priority.nnThe hotel's central Auckland location makes it easy to explore the city, and is easy to drive to work in the morning. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and maintained to a high standard. The combination of excellent accommodation, outstanding service, and thoughtful recognition of loyalty members keeps bringing us back.nnThank you to the entire team for another wonderful stay.

I wish I had a head for names, because every interaction I had with hotel staff was nothing short of perfection and I would love to congratulate them all.nnGetting out of our cab from the airport we were greeted so warmly as our bag was taken from car to reception.nUnable to check in early as the hotel was completely full. The room was clean and importantly, quiet.nnThe bed was exceedingly comfortable and we slept well, only awoken by the guests in the hallway with zero consideration and a volume switch set to yell!nnThe foyer bar was lovely and we enjoyed our nightcaps. Overall a lovely stay.nnThe only con for the hotel is it location. It is at the top of the hill, and it's a steep climb or significant descent depending on whether to coming from or going to the waterfront area. If you have mobility issues you will want to take this into consideration.

Good quality hotel, a little walk to the main area, up hill!nHotel had canceled my booking as we arrived at 1am, even though I’d completed an online checkin knowing we’d be flying in at 12am.nThe beds were super comfortable and the carpet gorgeous and soft.nBar downstairs had the best hand cut chips!! Great cocktails too!!

We made a reservation at the Pullman Auckland Hotel for our wedding anniversary. We loved our stay, but there were a few low-points.nnOur arrival started off with Denika at the front desk happily greeted us with a big smile which made her stood out among the staff. We were quickly acknowledged, making us feel welcomed as guests and this is why it was her who we approached first; Small gestures can really make a huge impact on anyone, especially on the ‘first impression’.nnWe arrived too early for check in, so they offered to store our luggages while our room gets ready. This gave us the chance to comfortably stroll around the city before check-in time.nnBy the time we checked in, we were very excited to see our room. However, this was when the tables turned for us. When we entered our room, house keeping staff was still preparing the mini fridge, and this was after 3pm. We waited in the room to watch the staff finish what they’re doing, bringing an awkward start to our stay.nnAfterwards, we took a good look around the room, but found no box of chocolates, which I paid extra for. This amenity was meant to be a surprise for my wife, but I guess the house keeping in the room moments before was the main surprise for us. I went down to the front desk and they were able to sort it out for us and we waited at the lobby area for a bit while the staff from the restaurant set up the chocolates we’ve asked for, so that we can be able to start our arrival to our room all over again, at least now with everything we’ve asked for. Along with the box of chocolates, there was also an extra surprise of a chocolate cake and a handwritten ‘happy anniversary’ message from the Pullman Auckland Team. This was much appreciated.nnThe room is spacious and comfortable. Not too colourful like other hotels with complex design and patterns. Carpet feels very soft. Air conditioning was perfect for the humid weather. The bathroom looks elegant and no issue with the water pressure. The building is quite old, but the stay was still gold. The hotel is located quite a walk to the main city center, though the distance isn’t too bad, the steep roads just made it difficult for us, especially with a baby in a stroller, but no biggie.nnOur favourite experience was the Heated Pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna/Steam rooms hours before we checked out. Dayu at the desk was helpful and caring and she enthusiastically assisted us as we wandered around to check the facilities. Such a 5-star personality!nnDespite the low-points mentioned, our stay at Pullman Auckland was not a disappointment. We’d love to come back in the future to experience more, hopefully with more people!

It’s a very nice hotel in Auckland. I only stayed one night for transit, but overall I had a pleasant experience. The location is super convenient, with many attractions within walking distance. The room is comfortable, and the reception staff are friendly and helpful.nnHowever, the bathroom doesn’t have a walk-in shower, which I personally found a bit inconvenient. It was also a little difficult to adjust the water temperature. That said, this is just my personal preference—just a small note for guests who might feel the same way.
