Cordis, Auckland

I lived in the vicinity of what used to be the Langham for ten years before leaving Auckland, yet I had never stayed there until yesterday. Checking into the Cordis for the very first time was a pleasant experience. While there were a few hits and misses regarding what a luxury hotel should provide at a bare minimum, I truly appreciated the staff. Their service made for a memorable stay. A special thanks to Ruby at the front desk and the rest of the team for making such a great first impression.

Lovely 2 night stay at the Cordis. Service is warm and attentive including but not limited to front desk, luggage attendant, and breakfast service. Rooms are spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Clean and white towels. Loved the shuttle to and from the downtown touristy area. Breakfast is great with a lot of options.

We stayed at Cordis for a girls’ night and it was exactly what we needed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and the whole place felt relaxing and calm.nnThe facilities are fantastic – the rooftop pool was warm and we honestly felt like we were on vacation. Our room 21713 had a stunning view looking out over the city, the Sky Tower and right across the water to Rangitoto.nnSuch a lovely stay and a great spot for a little getaway in the city. Would happily come back again

We stayed at this hotel for a short getaway, and it was our first time visiting. The room facilities are not very modern, and to be honest we had issues from the beginning, which was really disappointing for a 5-star hotel – for example, the TV couldn’t connect to our devices and the towel rack fell off.nnHowever, the excellent customer service really changed our experience. The staff member Nina is incredibly kind and helpful – she truly turned our stay around and made a big difference. Aside from the room, the swimming pool and breakfast were very impressive. Because of the overall experience, I’ve already booked another stay and am really looking forward to my next visit.

About the best value for money I've had for a stay in Auckland - steam, sauna, spa pool, heated pool, tv with chromecast, and above all, food was actually great! Loved the miso soup, honey, croissant, and honeydew melon at the buffet. Club lounge had a good assortment as well.nnThey gave my son a loot bag for kids, and you can talk to the front desk for a quick but fun scavenger hunt.nnAlso, I forgot my jacket in room and was able to retrieve it soon after calling. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
