Kiwi International Hotel

It's in a good location for tourists. We went in March. We were slightly hot & there's no cooling in the room other than an old fashioned fan. This hotel is not disabled friendly. They don't have disabled parking, they only have limited parking space and it’s first come first served. They charge $20 a night for parking too which is ridiculous. I did ask reception if there was anything they could do for me, perhaps a discounted parking rate as I'm not able to walk far, but they would not budge. The toilets & shower are communal, none in the room. There's no disabled toilet nor a disabled friendly shower. Our room had no TV and wasn't very sound proof. All in all,if you're not disabled, happy with a glorified backpacker kind of place, then it's a great location and very clean.

With it being my first ever time in Auckland for the weekend for the Luke combs concert. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of my room I stayed in for 2 nights.my room was also serviced with all clean linen. Was a great location also staff were absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable and helpful at answering all questions and advising of activities to do around Auckland . Will definitely be back for the price it was well worth the stay . Very happy with the overall stay

Decent sized single room , location great...between K road & city centre...best of both worldsnThought there was a kitchen but just a toaster & microwave downstairs...nHaving tea making facilities in room is good. Shared bathroom is fine. Overall for the price it's a Bargain nPS it is outdated But so what ...clean sheets nP.S bring ear plugs if light sleeper , also eye mask..you know if you need one

What an old antique hotel, it’s absolutely basic but the only good thing is possibly the location, compared to hotels nearby. The tap water was rusty, and it came out with brown water. Stayed here for less than a night and am contemplating if I should shower in here because I did not feel clean. The receptionist said there was water works done , but book this hotel at your own risk.nThe bed linen had some i meant multiple strands of hairs underneath the blankets. I booked a 3 bed bedroom and all 3 beds had hairs. I am thinking if the beds were even cleaned.nNoise isolation is bad, can hear people walking and kids running in the hallway.nNo air conditioning, just 3 short standing fans.nAntique lift , 1 lift for the whole 2 storey hotel, that can only withstand 2 passengers each time.nThis place needs a renovation, will not recommend unless you are looking for a budget hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights. The room was extremely basic, 2beds and a kettle to make a tea or coffee. Microwave and toaster are down in the old dinning room at reception.nThere is no air con to combat the heat in the afternoon just a small floor fan and some windows. Communial toilet and bathrooms, very clean.nThe rooms are clean, the beds are ok, very old and in need ofnsome sprucing upnFor the price it's spot on. Be aware of the extra cost to park a car is $30 per day for the 1st 2 days and then down to $20 after that.
