Mercure Auckland Queen Street

A very nice hotel located on the outskirts of the city in a Chinese district. The area is not particularly salubrious or scenic we didn't notice a view of the tower but we also didn't notice any anti social behaviour. The city is walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are well decorated with a nice bathroom. Breakfast is held in a restaurant next door and is fine if not spectacular. All in all we were very satisfied.

Stayed a few times at this hotel and always enjoyed the attendance of the staff and excellent facilities: very clean rooms, good food, small, but still well equipped gym. Highly recommended.

We had a great weekend in Auckland. The rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, modern bathroom.nUnfortunately the air vent was very loud and felt cold. The heatpump was good for warming up the room. LoneStar is next door and used for the breakfast buffet which we enjoyed. Savoury options were available as well as fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. Barista coffee or hot chocolates needs to be purchased. Juice and tea is free.nThe gym is tiny but works.nThe hotel is CASHLESS so that's something to be mindful of.

Excellent service from desk to restaurant. Comfortable bed and generous sized shower. Breakfast choices include cereals, fresh cut fruit, yoghurt, pastries and hot food bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, hash browns, mushrooms. Hot and cold beverages also available, although hot chocolate was not on the menu for breakfast and we had to pay if we wanted it. Breakfast venue doubles as Lone Star restaurant, which is attached to the hotel.nGreat to be able to use a gym where all the equipment is modern and working well. There is even a panel to choose music to workout with.nTake care of the tile floor in the shower, which can get slippery when soapy.nOverall, a very good stay and a place we would book again.
