Mercure Auckland Queen Street

Very friendly and professional staff. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The only things I can fault were the lack of soundproofing, we could hear our neighbors and people waiting for the lifts full conversations. Also the lights in the room were wired incorrectly and you couldn't have just the bedside lights on. It was all or nothing.

It's pleasant and central and a good price bracket, so I wouldn't discourage people from booking, but it lacked a bit for me. There is no info folder or sheet in the rooms, and at check-in, I was not given any instructions - which I needed: wifi, use of lift, restaurant, gym. After traveling, it is not easy having to keep ringing the front desk for these things. So I would say staff - who were very pleasant - need some better systems.

Your staff were lovely, the location fantastic and the room itself was nicely appointed.nnUnfortunately, when taking a shower I had to clean dried / crusted vomit off of the shower walls. I would have notified staff and requested another room, but we had gotten in very late after a concert.nnThere was also vomit in the sink down the drain, I only saw this as the stopper in the sink popped offnnPlease, please take appropriate action and advise cleaning staff, this is absolutely a health hazard. room 419nnAgain, very hesitant to leave this review, as your staff were all very lovely and the location is great.

Superb hotel, especially with how decent the pricing is. Beautiful new rooms and hotel has everything you need. Has a small gym if needed. The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly. The breakfast and coffee which you have in the lone star restaurant is very good and the staff there are amazing too. Good location for the city with easy access to everything.

Nice modern hotel. Rooms are not huge but very new, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Solid air conditioning too, which a lot of hotels fail at!
