Great hotel. Rooms were spacious, well furnished and clean. The balcony view was very nice. Price was reasonable for the experience

The rooms are decent for what you pay for but the rooms could use a good clean, the majority of the room is clean but the light fixtures need a good clean. The staff were friendly and the people at the front desk were helpful. You need to pay to park your car if you're staying here, your car will be stored safe under the hotel and be valet parked, but be aware you have to pay, they have no other option. They have nice drinks at the bar and they are a decent price.

Room was ok. Breakfast wasn't great - no coffee. View from room was nice. But, the phone in our room didn't work. The coffee machine didn't work and worst of all, we booked a bed and a sofa and the sofa was broken. Eventually we were given a single mattress cot and it wasn't too bad. They made up for it by giving us free parking. All in all its ok for a cheap holiday if you need to stay in surfers.

I stayed at Alpha Sovereign Hotel with my girlfriend for 2 nights and 3 days of our holiday week. After staying at the Sea World resort, we were excited to stay closer to Surfers Paradise but were disappointed with the results provided by the hotel. Staff members were shockingly rude and unhelpful. My room wasn’t cleaned and towels weren’t changed until my girlfriend and I decided to call the reception and ask. The response “We’ve been too busy” is no excuse for a popular hotel to not clean its customers rooms. 

When my girlfriend and I first checked in, the woman at the front desk had a negative attitude towards my girlfriend booking our stay because she is under the age of 18. This should have been more clear as the website didn’t mention no underage booking. 

The Television wasn’t working when we wanted to sit on the lounge and watch something and the pillows were flat with no cushion. Wouldn’t have worried to much about this if the staff members were nice and more helpful. 

When checking out on our last morning the man on the front desk was no help when getting our $200 bond back. My card declined twice because the eftpos machine had issues. Instead of suggesting another card the man became aggressive and impatient. 

Overall, my girlfriend and I weren’t impressed with the results of the hotel but enjoyed our holiday.
