I will update the review in a few days to give a full assessment, but this is the initial stellar impression:nnJust checked in for a special father-son trip, and I’m already blown away! From the warm welcome to the flawless service, delicious food, and stunning views, every detail has been exceptional. Having stayed at many Marriott properties worldwide, this is easily one of the very best.nnFrom the moment we arrived, the genuine hospitality made us feel instantly at home. The check-in process was seamless, and every staff member has gone above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The attention to detail is remarkable — from the friendly greeting at the entrance, to the thoughtful service at every turn, to the incredible dining experiences.nnOur room offers a breathtaking view that perfectly sets the tone for a relaxing and unforgettable trip. The atmosphere is both tranquil and vibrant, and it’s clear the team here takes pride in creating extraordinary guest experiences.nnWe still have four more days ahead, but if the first day is any indication, this will be a stay we will remember forever.

Lovely grand hotel though getting a tad dated. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, it’s a large spread with a slight change of menu daily and great service.nnThe external pool is quite unique in that they have aquatic fish you can swim with. Of course in winter it’s a little cold but nonetheless it was fun. No indoor pool.nnGreat gym with proper equipment and there are some kids activities daily like sushi making class.

I had an amazing experience at JW Marriott. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The rooms were spacious, luxurious, and immaculately clean, with beautiful views and comfortable beds. The facilities, including the pool and gym, were top notch, and the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options. It’s clear that great attention to detail goes into everything they do. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and high quality hotel experience.

Tonight’s service was absolutely amazing!nWe wanted to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and we definitely chose the right place. The atmosphere was perfect with live music and delicious food.nThe service provided by Karen was beyond compare, she always approached us with a smile and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Her customer service was immaculate and truly made the night special.nThe food and drinks were flavorful and well presented. I totally recommend Marriott for a memorable evening!

We recently stayed at the JW Marriott Gold Coast and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've had in a long time.nnTo begin with, the service was shockingly poor for a hotel of this supposed calibre. We requested help with our luggage upon arrival, and it took them over an hour to send someone up — by then, we had already managed on our own. There was a complete lack of urgency and communication from the staff throughout our stay.nnWhat really pushed things over the edge were the unexpected charges that kept appearing on our bill. We were charged for things we didn’t even use or do, and when we questioned it, the staff didn’t seem interested in investigating or resolving it. It felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed at every opportunity.nnParking was not free, which wasn’t made clear at booking, and the in-room snacks — which were not labeled or marked in any way — were also charged separately. There were no signs, no price list, nothing to indicate that these were not complimentary. It was a very misleading setup, and we only found out when we saw the charges at checkout.nnFor a brand like JW Marriott, I expected professionalism, transparency, and a much higher standard of hospitality. Instead, what we got was slow service, surprise fees, and an overall sense of being taken advantage of.nnSave your money — there are better hotels on the Gold Coast that actually value their guests and deliver on their promises. We will not be returning, and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a true 5-star experience.
