White Cross - Lunn Ave Urgent Care and GP

Walked into an A&E at white cross with a sick child around 6.30pm and I was told by the lady at the reception that we are not taking any more patients. On enquiring if the open timings were 8am-8 pm , the lady at the reception agreed but said we have enough patients for the day. I did say to her that they need to put up some signage or update other website that despite our open and close timings we can decide to stop operating as an A & E at our own convenience . Turning a patient down when you are well within your close timings is unfair and rude. If the hospital cannot manage patients after 6 then you should change the operating timings to 6 pm as families we only walk into emergencies because it is an emergency after hours. On asking if I could speak to the nurse I was told to wait as the nurse is busy with a patient . I have been waiting 20 mins now seen the nurse walk in and out calling out to other patients but not acknowledged us sitting here or have the courtesy to come have a chat . Extremely poor service is offered here

The other night my special needs sister had a accident and needed stitches. The Dr and nurse treating her were outstanding and I appreciated them working at her pace while giving her the medical care she was given. Thank you Robin and Henrietta hope I spelled your name right. Yes there was a bit of a wait, but once seen on point.

Personally had a really good experience. Was in and out from seeing nurse, doctor and pharmacist in about an hour and a half and was with doc for a good 20 minutes. Dr Lucy was very helpful and same with nurse Kaitlin sorry if that isn't correctly spelt. Was a pretty quiet day for them it seemed but very helpful. Thank you!!

Came in on a public holiday, no other med centre open. Price is hight especially for us as visitors from overseas, but staff was super nice and helpful and I've been assisted within 1 hour.

Team nice and friendly but be prepared to wait ages if you’re a casual patient. I waited a little over three hours, when I went to check on progress 2hrs later and I was “next in queue” for over an hour and ended up leaving to find alternative help. This is because they book in their own patients who will jump you in queue. I understand not their fault with staffing shortages but just bad experience if you’re in pain and having to wait and seeing others come in after you and get attention
