The Y Ellerslie Leisure Centre

I was keen for my 13 months old gymnastics and they sent me email for 0-4 years group timings and fees for this age group. I went for trial class .. but it wasn’t age appropriate for 13 months old. Then the instructor there wasn’t supportive when I asked what my baby needs to do as she looks younger for this activities she replied yes she looks younger. I asked her what should I do she just said just what do you feel ! LolnWhy did you guys put 0-4 age group when you can’t accommodate according to age . When I approached people at reception they said it is mostly parents led ! The conversation was all over the place . They were not sure what they were doing!

Birthday party review for 4 year old:nnHall: has bouncy castle, gym equipment balls, nets, balance beam, trampoline, some mats, and rings and chairs are lined up along one wall. In summer it is warm inside, not too hot - unless you're running around like the kids!nnBouncy castle: is a really safe design, you can't slide or fall out of it. It's noisy though, so it is heard from the entire hall and kitchen.nnGym equipment: not particularly safe, but if used correctly/with supervision for younger kids it's fine. Trampoline doesn't have nets. There isn't a lot of padding for falls throughout the hall.nnKitchen: opens into the hall halfway. It has most things you would need, but not in the best condition. I recommend table coverings for a party we didn't bring any, and to bring your own big bowls for chips etc. There are 3 tables in the kitchen. Take care with the hot water, it was much hotter than I expected I hope they check the temperature.nnInstructors: they take the kids through classic games such as red light green light. It didn't really work for us given the age range and that kids wanted to play on the bouncy castle and gym equipment.nnOverall: recommend it if your kids are happy to exhaust themselves running and jumping, and if you don't mind joining in a bit. I didn't like how noisy the hall was and how the kitchen wasn't super clean.

I love YMCA Ellerslie as it offers variety of fitness classes and also depending on your schedule its not always too crowded, I love to do work out when its quiet. Great staff, facilities and option to play sports as well :

I have been a member of YMCA for long time. Great staff, friendly and approachable. About 6 months ago I sent an Email to the manager about:nUpdating their equipmentnChanging the the Battle Rope shattered in piecesin the group training hall downstairs.nMen showers upstairs need a proper cleaning!!nManager Emailed me back he is getting budget and will bring new equipment. Still waiting for a Battle Rope to be changed and showers still in the same states.nBUT I had an Email that my gym membership has gone up!!!nWIFI would be great too.

Excellent classes and a great facility. I enjoy the 6am HIIT classes, always something different and a great workout :
