AA Centre - Penrose

I went to this centre just to pay my insurance policy on 6th JAn 26. arrived at 4:40pm and waited. at 4:58pm i came up to an aisan staff named Lara. She shouted and yelled at me we are closed in 2 minutes go and come back another day. I said i arrived at 4:40pm 20 mins before closure time if you cant serve people anymore back then should let people know so they dont have to waste their time waiting. She said she was too busy and looked at me with beaky eyes. and finally agreed to serve and during that time so rude manner. There was a guy waited after me and he was served by The indian staff after me with no issue !!!!nwhile being served, her chinese co wokers came to table talked in chinese and laughed like i didnt exist sooooooo uncomfortable.nnI then lodged a complaint to the centre and another Chinese stuff replied me with same manner saying i was there and served after 5pm and that co worker came to inform LAra everything closed. I am an adult and not stupid even i dont understand chinese but i can clearly feel what they were talking about, they were talking and made jokes and laughing that definitely not about work. This is just show the altitude of them all as a group

I visited the Panrose AA Centre last week to convert my overseas driver licence to a New Zealand one, and to verify my son’s and my IRD number. My case was quite complicated and tricky to deal with.nI was helped by two lovely Chinese staff members Jelly and Ming. They were so patient and helpful and spent hours working with me to sort out everything properly. They walked me through each step carefully, explained everything clearly, and made sure all my problems were fully solved.nI really can’t thank them enough for their amazing support and great attitude. They made what could have been a stressful day so much easier, and it was by far the best customer experience I’ve had in a long time. I truly appreciate all their time, effort and kindness.

I visited this branch today 19 November 2025 to apply for a New Zealand driver’s licence, and it was honestly the worst customer service experience of my life.nnI was assisted by an Asian staff member Asian man,tanned skin, narrow eyes, wearing a silver ring earring.nI accidentally filled out the wrong form, which caused some confusion — that part was my mistake.nHowever, his reaction was completely unacceptable.nnHe became visibly irritated, slammed my passport onto the desk loudly, and walked away to speak to another staff member.nWhen he came back, he spoke to me with a rude attitude and said, “You can’t get a NZ driver’s licence with this form.”nThen, in a loud voice, he asked, “Do you want me to throw this paper away?”nEveryone around us started looking at me because of how loudly he spoke. It was extremely humiliating.nnThis was truly the worst treatment I have ever received.nI will never visit this branch again, and I expect a formal apology by phone.nI hope this staff member is disciplined for his behaviour.

I recently visited the AA to convert my international driver’s license to a New Zealand license by submitting the DL05 form. The staff were extremely helpful throughout the process. I’d like to give special thanks to Mr. Krunal, who guided me patiently and professionally. He ensured I understood every step and made the experience smooth and stress free. I truly appreciate his support and kindness. Thank you, AA and Mr. Krunal, for your excellent service
