Thought I would give this a go instead of the competition so ordered on-line for pickup dinner for the family here on a Friday evening. Service was quick, I was a little early but only waited for a minute or so for my order. Staff were polite and friendly. Dining area looks very spacious and decently clean. Got home less than 10 minute drive, and the food was all still very hot - even the chips, so nothing had been left sitting around.nThe spicy chicken was very good with a wonderful crunchy coating and a decent hit of spice - cooked perfectly with no dry pieces. Also unlike the competition, the spicy option seems to always be available, not just seasonal.nThe chicken tenders were also nicely seasoned and a good crunchy coating - we got both spicy and normal and they were both very tasty and again, perfectly cooked.nThe mash bites were absolutely amazing - makes the sad mass produced things you get from the competition just seem pathetic.nMy only, very minor criticisms - the fries were under seasoned - BUT, they were at least not soggy at all, like the competition often are, & finally I can't get delivery to my area - They say delivery is within 3 km, I must be only just out of range unfortunately. They should just connect with Uber or someone instead of self delivery, which I guess is why they limit the range.nOn the whole though my first experience with Texas Chicken was about as good as fast food can be - and for me at least, the food was of a higher quality than their competition, and priced competitively.nI'll definitely be back, & I hope they thrive.
Spent $20 on a mexicana burger combo with 2 chicken wings. Expected a lot more for that money. Burger was pretty small, chicken wings were dry. First time order and the last for me.
contrary to what some people say about this fastfood chain,we always enjoy texas. Got to try the habanero today and it was spicy for me,slightly sweet and really smokey in terms of flavour.would probably be better if the chicken was not dunked in the habanero sauce, instead, just to make it a dipping sauce. it's difficult to eat by itself. good we had chips,mashed potato and honney butter bun. original chicken was ok.spicy one was ok as well,tolerable level. drinks were refillable. compared to kfc, texas chicken is not oily.quick service.
Got spicy & original wings, was full of crunch but bland & so were the fries. The original wings were moist though. There were no napkins or salt & pepper, other diners said to use paper towel by sink but that was empty - Was a let down for $45 meal
Always good service and good food here, very consistant. We come here quite a lot, maybe too much, as the manager knows our orders by heart haha. Wheelchair accessible with toilets, has a drive through and also plenty of room to dine in. Very tasty food, crunchy flavoursome chips and the spice is just enough to get the nose running.
