Takapuna Beach Holiday Park

Really enjoyed it here. Staff were friendly, welcoming and gave us a map with the WiFi code, toilet code and kitchen code. Easy to plug in our campervan, get fresh water and get rid of waste water. Bathroom has hot water and theres a kitchen too. This is usually a last stop for many so many people leave stuff and they have a section for free.nWe booked one night and needed to stay another, so we booked directly again.

I used to live at the other end of Takapuna place from this holiday park. Whilst I am visiting family I love to stay in one of the self contained-units which are bookable through a simple system on the website. The holiday park is situated right beside the boat ramp, along a small road below the Takapuna Beach Cafe. There are several cabins available, and the rest of the site is mostly spaces for motorhomes and caravans. The units are immaculately clean: mine had a TV, shower, crockery, microwave and kettle and a really really pristine and comfortable bed. There is also a communal kitchen with bigger cookers, and shower block. The staff at Reception were incredibly helpful and friendly during my stay. I am extremely fond of this accommodation, it is a perfect spot.

This was a great find after our booked site turned out to be emergency housing.nYou can't fault the spot or price. Yes it could do with some sprucing up, but where else would you find waterside accommodation under $100 for a powered site.nLady at the desk was very helpful and facilities were clean. Kitchen, toilets and laundry two washers two dryers- all were out of ordernWe were in a motorhome with 4 adults. Our site had ample room for table and chairs. We got a jumbo site.nWalking distance to Woolworths 20mins and a range of restaurants in under 10mins with one on site.nI couldn't see any park/play equipment for the kids.nGreat spot for the budget traveller.

Was nice but we didn't get given the password for the toilets or the WiFi.nBy the time we realised the office was closed. This left me waiting ages to get into the rest rooms. The room itself was clean, bright and functional. The fan/heater was great but seemed to not turn off. We just unplugged it and it was fine. The beach was so close and had such beautiful views.nMost of the issues could have been because of how busy it was because of events.

Is fine for a one night stay getting into and out of Auckland, located close to shops and many takeout food options. Staff member we found helpful. Facilities quite reasonable, good pressure in showers and they are not paid or timed. Very crammed at full capacity so in my view not somewhere you would laze around for a few days particularly if traveling with kids.
