Awanui Labs - Milford (formerly Labtests)

I arrived on Thursday around 11:00 during a quiet period, and Jonbie, the phlebotomist, was excellent— I barely felt the jab. Also I asked for my lab results, and he gave me some helpful recommendations.

When I arrived there was no one to greet patients, just a screen with instructions on how to take a number and have a seat. Generally, when needing medical tests done, individuals are in a vulnerable state and need at least one friendly face to assure you that you’re in the right place and will be seen to soon. The nurse hurt me and I have terrible bruising on my arm. She did apologise and asked if I was okay but it had been a bad experience from the start and there wasn’t much I could say to her after she’s hurt me. What’s done is done. As a patient, who had never been to Awanui labs therefore not familiar with their waiting room system and has trouble with anxiety, especially when it comes to medical procedures, I expected far better. At the very least a friendly face to greet you upon arrival. This was a terrible experience.

Seriously long wait times, which suggests poor staffing levels and management. Some of the staff are absolute stars and highly skilled others are rude and leave you with a massive bruise.

i always get routine blood test but this is the first time ive been bruised this badly! the person who was takinh my blood was rough and has heavy hand! i am shocked at how bruised i got!! never coming back here again!

Philippino or may be Asian nurse was very rude ! So many bad reviews about her but I saw that afterwards.
