Awanui Labs - Milford (formerly Labtests)

We just want to thank Awanui Labs Milford for the wonderful experience we have had with this year with our child who required numerous blood tests, in particular the highly experienced Phlebotomist Avril. Like many young people she was very nervous about having blood tests, however Avril put her at ease every time and was extremely skilled at drawing blood from very hard to find veins. We are very grateful for the high level of care and support we received. If you are looking for one of the best lab test centres in Auckland I would highly recommend Milford.

The Team at Milford are wonderful. We visited on the 20/09 after putting it off for a week. I have a fear of needles, so the staff placed me on a bed and had blood drawn from the back of my hand. The Phlebotomist was very supportive, ensuring I was comfortable and talking me through each step. My anxiety around blood tests has been greatly reduced - thank you!

Waited 45 mins today to be told the lab copy in my phone was not held by Awanui. Went home and printed it out. Waited another 1 hour 16 mins to get seen. Only one staff member on. Told 1 sick, and one at lunch. > 1 hour observed by me Approx 50% of clients came in looked at waiting times and left. I addressed the throngs. There is multiple disatisfaction. Are you aware? Do you care? I guess not, as you have now total monopoly over labs in Auckland. To be fair the one venesector left standing Ruth was quick and efficient. Why is she left unsupported?nI am sure you can do better than this if you tried.nI guess PR is of no consequence to you; but believe me if you turn off 50% of your clientele there is always a price to pay down the track.

I went to give my blood sample and staff was trying to collect it and she couldn't find good veins I have explained that its hard to get.She said she got 33 years of experience in her profession.However please find pics of my arm and she didn't get the sample.

I arrived on Thursday around 11:00 during a quiet period, and Jonbie, the phlebotomist, was excellent— I barely felt the jab. Also I asked for my lab results, and he gave me some helpful recommendations.
