Awanui Labs - Glenfield (formerly Labtests)

I got to the Awanui labs feeling nervous about the needles. But as soon as I walked in I could feel the positive atmosphere. It was almost the end of day for them but still managed to give 5 star service.nThank you to the team in Glendfield.

I visited Wed morning at 7:20 and the waiting room was filled up with people. I decided to come back the other day. Thursday morning 7:15, I was the third one in the queue. Very effective and comfortable blood taken. Thanks to the staff.

I visited here yesterday. It was a good experience. My vein is quite thin, therefore I am always worried when I need a blood test every time. However, James was good, he did it in once! I appreciated it.

I have been here a number of times for blood tests and have had no issues up until my most recent visit hopefully a one off as I am still wondering what could have gone wrong. Everything was going as normal, there was no pain as the needle was inserted and I was instructed to add pressure to the plaster. I stood up to leave and waited as they found me a bag to take a sample cup home so I could do it later at home. I then went to sit on the seats outside Briscoes in the mall to wait for the person who was picking me up and noticed blood all over my shorts and dripping down my arm. I considered going back to check with them that I was ok but felt very self conscious and uncomfortable as people were around. Was worried as I was about to travel down to Rotorua for my leave and hoped I would be ok for my trip. Now that I have to have blood tests more often I am a little anxious of this happening again. Luckily the bleeding didn’t last long and I was fine.

Good service, friendly and helpful staff.nTuesday 7.45am wasn't busy at all, I was first in queue. Nurse kindly helped me with tests and papers. Got only tiny red dot on my hand after a blood test, polite and professional.nMany thanks.
