This place is really far from the terminals. We actually walked there instead of waiting for the shuttle, but to put it simply, there was no direct path to get there, even though it looked straight forward on the map. We had to walk through/around multiple fenced off car parks, crossed a busy road, then back tracked.nnWhen we arrived, there was only one person behind the counter. The process was relatively efficient up until the point when she tried to charge us a public holiday surcharge. We didn't end up having to pay because we booked online and the deal was already final.nnWe hired a Camry and there were no issues. When we returned it, there were lots of people, and there was a 15-20 minutes wait for the one and only shuttle bus that had to work both the domestic and international terminals.nnThe ride was short but as we got off, there was an angry mob of people who claimed to have waited for an hour.
Excellent experience, the process for completing the web check-in was very smooth this step is key to ensuring you only need to pick up the car. Afterward, a very attentive gentleman picked me up in the van, and we arrived at a well-organized branch where I quickly opted for the coverage to travel with peace of mind. There were plenty of brochures recommending plans in the city. The young lady who assisted me was very kind and took the time to tailor her suggestions based on my profile and what I was looking for on my trip, subtly offering recommendations.nnI rented an SUV, and it met all my expectations—no issues, practically brand-new, and everything worked perfectly.nnHonestly, I doubt I could choose another car rental option or any substitute if Snap is available. I highly recommend it without hesitation.
Would give Sam our driver 11.5 Stars as he was super friendly and funny despite some grumpy customers. Really fast and easy service, fastest rental car pick up we’ve had! Allow time for the free shuttle to get to and from rental car site about 20-30mins overall a great team to deal with and would happily use again.
Really easy to find, about a 15-minute walk from Auckland Airport. We got there before 6am, so decided to walk, despite other reviews, we found the walk direct and easy to get to. They weren’t open when we arrived, but as soon as they were, they got to us straight away and the process was smooth from there.nnAdding an extra driver was very cheap, and the lady at the desk gave us helpful advice about toll roads and a few other things. I asked about upgrading to a newer car, but they were fully booked that day — otherwise they would’ve sorted it.nnWe were given a 2017 base model Toyota Corolla with around 200,000km on it. It had plenty of visible wear and tear and was definitely showing its age, but it ran solidly throughout the trip and was great on fuel. Staff made it clear they only worry about major panel damage, wheels, and windows — which was reassuring, especially with all the dirt roads in NZ.nnAfter an 8-day North Island loop, we returned the car without any issues and were given the all clear. They even gave us a free lift back to the Pullman at the airport. Friendly team, easy process — we’ll definitely be booking with Snap again for our South Island trip!
No issues with the car rental. The staff was friendly & helpful, the car was clean and in good condition. My only complaint is that the location isn't very convenient. They offer a courtesy shuttle, but it doesn't come right up to the terminal, so be prepared for a 5-10 minute walk to the off-site transfer zone.
