Very good systematic service and good car.nnThe shuttle driver kindly drop us at Kiwi Airport Hotel too.

After hours pickup and dropoff at a hotel. Requested and paid for a booster seat which was not there. Because pickup was not at Mode no one was there to explain that a prepayment for toll roads was required. Even though I paid for the toll roads online before I returned the car so before the rental was completed Mode still backcharged me a toll which was not “prepaid” before using the road + a NZD25 admin fee. The toll fee was NZD2.60 which I reiterate again I had paid before the rental was completed. I would understand if the admin charge was because the toll was not paid but this is just taking the piss and it is daylight robbery to say the least. You need to revise your T&C and avoid losing more customers. Will not be renting here again.

Rented a Corolla SW from Christchurch airport for two days and these guys were very good to deal with. Price much better than any alternative we could find NZ$41 per day - unlimited km!, good car clean, little damage, hybrid even, large boot, some 107k on clock, and easy to deal with them. Handing back was quick and painless as well, all done in 15min including free shuttle to airport terminal from their office. Definitely worth checking them out!

Good experience with mode rentals. The site is a little way from the airport so there is an airport shuttle but they collected us from our hotel on request. The car was great, no issues, and we returned it easily and quickly in Queenstown where again the site is a little way from the airport but they refunded us for a taxi to the airport as they weren’t running a shuttle at that time.nnThe only slightly annoying thing was that we had to pay 50NZD to drop the car off outside of hours 8am, but the return was just to park the car outside and drop keys through the letterbox - so we weren’t really sure what we’d paid for as no one had come in early or anything.nnThey released the bond very quickly and were a lot cheaper than other rentals too.

Picked the car up at Christchurch. Clean and tidy. Took us around the Sth Island on our road trip for 3,000 KMs without a problem. Extended our return time by a few hours when flight was changed at no extra charge. Great service. Very happy and would definitely recommend.
